SpaceCadetMonkeySuitAsia does not have an iM equivalent that can hang with the top euro or American teams. I'm pretty sure South America doesn't either. Getting them to the next lan world be cool, but from a competitive perspective they'll get rolled.
Even if this is true, it would still be nice to see these teams play on LAN. Publicir and AYO were simply filler teams for the Invite bracket. I wouldn't see any problem with giving those 2 spots to the Asian and South American teams instead.
Even if you did not go that direction, the Asian/South American teams should be good enough to finish top 2 in the Non-Invite brackets and advance to play in the final tournament.
it's just so much money for teams that ultimately don't have a chance
so far every intercontinental team has taken home at least some (although insignificant) prize money and had a chance to win
edit: this is under the assumption that the teams wouldnt be very competitive as hypothesized above. If there are asian/south american teams that would actually be able to play at the same level of 4G/epsi/mix^/iM...that would be cool.
i'm actually going to wake up at 5 am on a sunday to watch video games
after that, i'm going to re-evaluate my life
oh btw, is it 2 best of threes if epsilon wins the first or what?
Why do euros play koth to 3...I wanted more rounds of that action
enorytIt's going into a baby case as well, BitFenix Prodigy because I happen to have a mini atx, should be no problem right? I have a water cooler too!
There are two versions of the prodigy. One taxes mini itx and one takes mini itx as well as micro atx. Mini atx doesn't exist. Make sure you get the right one.
could use shadowplay if you have an nvidia card but there is a small performance hit and you would only have a video, not a demo
vriskMastWasn't it supposed to be released today?
Tomorrow August 18th.
It was supposed to be available today for people who paid for it and on youtube tomorrow.

not to say that lightboost is worth it
BenkDo you guys really see a doctor every time you get a bump or a rash? He didn't even say they hurt or itched or anything. Man your doctors must be busy diagnosing bug bites.
idk if his instinct was to post on a gaming forum it may be affecting his brain
flamei feel like i could organize a $20 buy in per player tournament with 7 players per team then do a draft friday night and put the money toward alcohol for Saturday or just make a smaller prize pool and the feeling of friendly competition would be there.
I really dont understand what the incentive for a team showing up as 6 is to pay $120 to feed it to the CEVO P players pockets.
This is like asking what the point is in a low open team paying $30 a player to play in esea. They know they won't come close to winning, so they might as well just scrim without paying to play in matches right?
I realize the skill differential is a bit bigger in this case and the teams are guarantee more matches, but this isn't a new thing to LANs. I have to agree with everything beta said.
