This ladder system sounds really cool. Could be particularly fun during off season and could make scrims slightly more meaningful (even though their #1 purpose is to improve), if it becomes popular to the point where it is easy and fast to quick match for scrims.

kirbySo a 750W if I'm getting a 7970? Is it necessary to have 8 gigs of RAM rather than just 4? I currently have 4 gigs of DDR3, but I'm not sure if it's this "1600" that's being mentioned :x
I don't think I'll bother overclocking.
8 GB isn't necessary, but it is beneficial. Given that you do video editing, I would definitely invest in 8 gigs. It's worth it.
I believe the 2411T and the VG248QE actually use the same panel. Supposedly the colors on the BenQ are better out of the box. The Asus is cheaper in US, BenQ is cheaper in Europe.
Do you live near a microcenter? If so you can get a 3570k for $190, and $40 off a compatible motherboard.
the301stspartanI am currently on a Zowie AM but i am going to be ordering a DA 2013 later today. I heard that while it did have issues on release they where fixed with a firmware update and that it has a lower LOD then the DA Black. I personally prefer extremely light mice. As far as DPI goes that's just a gimmick. I am using the 1150 DPI setting on my Zowie AM and allot of others use 450.
LOD is another thing that I never really understood. Like, do people lift their mice during gameplay? Why? I never even considered doing that.
If you've never lifted your mouse while playing, you probably have a really high sensitivity.
holy shit I love you fog and seanbud
so well played
Ah, I see. I interpreted wanting a new mobo as wanting a new platform. To be honest, I don't remember any 1366 boards at all anymore. You might have a hard time finding one, not really sure.
What is your budget for the upgrades?
Not much point upgrading from that yet IMO (unless something died...), but if I were you I'd wait for Ivy Bridge-E this fall.
mustardoverlordthe rule may have always been 48 hours, but wasn't it the poll also closed after 48 hours, and the team announced
what if people paid premium just to vote but did it after the 48 hour window? uncool
Maybe they should have read before spending money on something. It was clearly stated that it was going to be ran for 48 hours.
This is like buying something at the store and complaining that it doesn't do something, even though it is stated on the box that it doesn't.
mustardoverlordisnt that a little shady? cut off the voting whenever it allowed for rick's team to still be ahead?
not saying their team doesn't deserve it, but the system is kinda odd isnt it?
lol it was always 48 hours

PaalsFzeroComputer Fraud and Abuse Act added with a bunch of cases that expands itCan you provide a link. I'm trying to fight my ignorance of cyber laws in America here. Also I actually dont understand this sentence. So far the only law linked is this http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2701
Which is not completely applicable here since they are talking about "electronic communication hardware" and some wiley lawyer could portray computers as instead electronic computational hardware or something. If this is wrong correct me though.
