Funkyfrenzy_dx8 gets you better frames,personally id rather have a a game the runs smoother/bettter then a game that looks nice but not run as well.that is entirely dependent on your hardware, if you have older hardware you get better frames with older software (dx8) if you have new hardware that's actually modern you're in most cases gonna get a very small fps boost in dx8 and in other cases no boost at all. that's just because of the amount of props/effects not supported. i'm running a ryzen 2400g apu and i only get around 10 more frames on dx8 than 9
its better to have 10 more fps then not. for some people with bad pcs where 10 fps really matters that would help alot.

mastercoms24use 91 or bust91 doesn't exit. There's only 90 and 95 for PCs.
edindx8 is simply betterDX9 is the latest graphics API, with more efficient resource handling. The only reason why DX8 gets more frames in some cases is because it can't support rendering some things, so it uses less advanced graphics. If DX9 were able to fallback to those simplified graphics, then it would have greater performance. But simple FPS comparisons are not what you should base things on anyway. Due to DX9's better technology, you get less stutters, smoother frame rates, and faster loading and window resource grabs.
DX8 is also a huge technological burden to maintain for the TF2 team. If we get usage numbers down for it, that would be a possible graphics pipeline they could drop support for, and thus improve efficiency by removing all those outdated pathways and not worrying about compatibility.

It was getting too personal some of the things they said about each other were beyond cringe and it needed to stop. So i went to the idiot that wouldnt stop streaming the whole thing and typed in chat i think something slick about him shutting up. And he banned me.
