#2 Cannot connect through MvM matchmaking in Q/A Help

Not sure if it's similar, but I had the same issue in CS:GO. I fixed it by adding +clientport 270xx to my launch options (where xx is anything but 05).

#80 Nominations for a thing in TF2 General Discussion

Is there a bot just spamming stupid nominees? Because that's what it seems like.

#78 Changes for #tf2.pug.na in TF2 General Discussion
techhelper1FYI, A step ahead of you. http://webchat.geeksirc.net/(channel)
Example: http://webchat.geeksirc.net/tf2.pug.na

Left Icon = Mibbit, Center Icon = KiwiIRC, Right Icon = qWebIRC

All load balanced between the nodes that they have.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My views on Fog & jaybenaduchi.

If Jay really did kill the screens (thus killing the bots), that is a low blow to do. If Fog wants to move it to a separate VPS or server, I wouldn't fault him for that.

Anyways, what's done is done and it's time to move on.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just so I can offer my .02 on the GameSurge and GeeksIRC move. The services and IRCd that GeeksIRC runs is more modern. However the bots that run in the many TF2 channels on both of those networks are compatible with either network with just a few code changes, on the other hand, with QuakeNet the bot would just have to interface with Q.

The bot that runs in #tf2.mix.nahl, #tf2.mix.euhl and #tf2.mix.eu is the one that got recreated by blindsight and Ryan, it runs better then the current bots around. It uses the Atheme services that GeeksIRC provides so it can manage the channel better. Let alone the fact that it can switch between 6's and highlander on-the-fly and different game modes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now to ask a question for everyone. What does GameSurge have that GeeksIRC does not?

Why are you talking in the 3rd person? You are Ryan, aka th1 aka techhelper1.
"Ryan (~th1@Admin.GeeksIRC.net)"

There were no problems with the old bot, I don't see why the move was absolutely needed. The pug.nahl bot still works perfectly fine when it's used (rip). Apart from IP masking (which took about 5 minutes to get a vhost), there are no real benefits to moving networks (except giving all our IPs to blindsight).

#129 ESEA and CEVO in TF2 General Discussion
PlatinumFzeroLet me ask this about top level tf2 play and those people that goes to LANs, if it's honestly that important to you, are you willing to completely pay for the trip completely out of your own pocket?
I'm just wondering where the line is? Is going to LAN so important to not ask for a single donation?

Thats what we have done for the past 4 seasons.

Why has the majority of mix^ been playing in a top highlander team for the past 4-5 seasons if there's no LAN. Competition can happen without LAN and apparently you're ok with it.

mdisengageadryenzmim just waiting for everybody who doesnt play esea because of "malware" to stop using steam (which has an anticheat which uploads suspicious binaries that it finds running on your computer) as well

also lange did torbull ever reply
Except steam is a good service.
and when you uninstall it, it actually fucking uninstalls

steam definitely leaves drivers (among other things) behind when you uninstall it

Source?
