MarxistI had fun.
It was a pleasure listening to you my friend.
Getawhalewasn't just about one person either
I generally stay out of this kind of stuff but I feel the need to say something here.
I'm going to take a guess and say that one of the people you're referring to is me. I say this because, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who responded to Thorin's tweet that stepped back from the community without saying a word.
To provide context, I was first mentioned by someone and then responded to the tweet.

Yes, I did leave the TF2 community without saying a word, and I apologize for that. The reason I stepped away is because I took at job at Next Generation Esports a couple months ago to work on their creative team. I contemplated saying something about leaving at the time, but for whatever reason I convinced myself not to and have regretted it since. If I could still be involved with TF2 I would be, I sadly just don't have the time anymore.
Even though other people such as dashner, mathsad, lange, david, truktruk, etc. could certainly explain spectating TF2 with more depth and clarity than myself, I don't see the issue in me at least offering assistance.
If I'm wrong and you weren't in part referring to me, then I genuinely apologize.
I was playing some last week. Game is pretty good, has a lot of potential
The thing is, some of us want to make a career out of esports. With TF2 in its current state, that just isn't possible. And frankly, I can't wait around for a year or more on some hope that an esports scene may one day thrive in this game. I can't speak for anyone else, but I reckon others feel the same.
While everyone here may not love Overwatch, I personally do. I genuinely enjoy the game in a competitive setting. Of course, I love TF2 as well. I mean it is my favorite FPS of all time, hands down. If both games had the same kind of opportunity present, I would pick TF2 any day of the week. But I'd be a fool if I didn't try to further my career by being involved with Overwatch. Be careful when using the term 'sellout'.
With all that being said, at the moment my primary focus is Overwatch. However, I plan to stay involved with TF2 in whatever capacity I can. And as a side note, my availability for i58 is unknown at the moment.
Great lineup, I'm excited to see Bren cast on LAN. Also good to see Kaidus on as an analyst, should be a great show.
BurningSmileI dont understand what the fuck asmr is? Perhaps I am just too old for this shit
Its just certain noises that produce a tingling feeling in your head or other parts of your body (spine, legs, etc.). Some people don't get the tingling feeling, but are just relaxed by the whispering or noises they're listening to. Not everyone is relaxed or gets tingles from the same noises either, each person is kind of different in what they like I guess. And as far as I understand some people just don't experience it at all, no relaxation or tingling of any kind.

I remember getting that tingling sensation and relaxation from certain noises since around 2003 I believe it was. I would get it if someone whispered a certain way, or if my dad had NPR on and I listened to it. First time I experienced it that I can remember was actually watching the news in my bed on this tiny ass little TV right next to my pillow as I was falling asleep, and it was some really boring news anchor talking about the bombing of Baghdad. It's not what he was saying but how he said it. Had tingles like crazy and fell asleep quite quickly
Youtube is basically where everyone else found out that other people were "triggered" by certain noises and found relaxation from it just like them, and then it just blew up from there.
Yeeegz"Kari Lehtonen a lot of goals"
rofl this is fantastic
holy fuck rip drouin. how was he after the hit? i wasnt watching the game
Do you currently play any runescape and are/were you good?
KaeyelCan someone explain what made CoD4 so great in comparison to say... MW2 (Which is the CoD game I spent most of my time with)?
Maps and weapons were much better in CoD 4, more balanced IMO. In pub play killstreaks weren't complete ass to play against, and on PC CoD 4 had dedicated servers and mod tools, allowing a ProMod version of the game to be created which was used in competitive play. Look up some videos of ProMod if interested, that was one of the best parts about the game. Overall I think CoD 4 was a more simplistic game, which I find much more enjoyable to play. Much of the reason why I still think CoD 2 was the best out of them all.
CoD 4 was also the last version (not counting WaW) that had dedicated servers and mod tools, and is one of the reasons it's still the most played version of the CoD franchise on PC (I believe it is anyway).
Kanecomaybe its nostalgia but I loved CoD 2 way more than 4 or any othe cod. That game was so good and so fun. Probably the best multiplayer I've played other than Enemy Territory
I agree, CoD 2 was the best. That game was the absolute pinnacle of skill based Call of Duty. vCoD fits in that category as well, but CoD 2 was just a lot more polished. I'm glad to see they are doing the remastering of CoD 4, as it was the next best to the aforementioned versions, but I'm sure as though you'll have to buy the new version of the game to get it. I hope not but I can see it as a strong possibility.
And I hope to god they have dedicated servers and mod tools. They could totally reinvigorate the PC CoD scene if they don't take the lazy route on this one.

i died
look at the growth this guy has had since those first tweets, unreal lol
Lol Schenn gets a 3 game suspension for charging Oshie, that's fucking ridiculous. Bellmare's hit gets 1 game, Chimera on Voracek gets nothing, countless other hits from both teams that were way worse than what Schenn did got nothing.
I'm not even mad about the suspension, it's just the lack of consistency from the NHL DPS that bothers me. They've been horribly inconsistent all season long. The NHL seriously needs to look into that department and figure out what the fuck is wrong there, because they're clearly missing something.
