AelkyrWell, I don't really like Reckoner, but I never felt that it was that bad of a map. Like, everyone keeps talking about it like they are in actual pain when they play it, but it is okay in my book (I'm talking about rc2, haven't played rc3 yet). Sure, the mid is a bit weird with the cap point underneath. But apart from that, the map is decent imo.
One thing I like is the last point, because it's open and that's something I enjoy in lasts (like on Process or Snakewater). Only thing really annoying is that the med can just hide in spawn, but that's pretty much it.
I've heard a lot of people saying that the map is hell in a compact package, but not a lot of actual criticism, so I'd be curious to hear why do players hate it so much.
(Disclaimer : I am an open medic. I can't commentate on aspects of the map that are related to rocket/sticky jumping).
whenever kaidus streams reckoner he makes some really good points about the midfights. i don't want to put words in his mouth/don't understand the game like he does, but it basically comes down to reckoner mid not rewarding positioning well, extending the midfight into a big mess. so ubers get popped at reckoner mid more often than some other maps like gully or process. i'd be interesting in someone with a deeper understanding coming along and giving their opinion on that.

this seems like it would be totally feasible for a one-off tournament, and it would be pretty entertaining
