i think it's too late to save tf2 as the majority of its playerbase only fuck around in pubs and spend their time buying hats/taunts
tf2 died when valve added hats and taunts
it's a shame really, this game has the potential to be a fantastic esport and personally it's the best fps i've ever played, the classes, the mechanics and all the raw gameplay features are unique and can't be found in any other game, i think the only chance we get an esport out of the team fortress brand is if valve started working on tf3 on source2, and focus on the raw gameplay instead of other stupid shit
