On a whim, I did this in the vain hope of it restoring my game to a playable state. It worked perfectly, multiple TF2 loadups into local and MP servers and there are no more problems with models and slow play.

There was a demo video for this on Wimp a few months ago. This shit is crazy.

I thought the update yesterday would have fixed it, but it came up again today as soon as I launched TF2. Tried hopping into a local server to mess with my hud, and moving around/firing was incredibly slow (this is what it's SUPPOSED to be like). Jumped into a random server and everyone was sliding around like last time. When I tried to stream it to a friend before the patch yesterday, the playback via the stream showed that my actions were at normal tf2 speed.

If anyone can help, I'd be most appreciative.

I dunno what it was in this update, but it fixed all my problems. Thank god.

I think my first games of TF2 were on 2fort and Hydro. I remember playing demoman, medic, and engineer. I think I had a long run with some guy with a Gunslinger Girls avatar and we went from server to server as demo/medic.

Philo Pugs were a combination of the best and worst things ever. I don't think many of the original crew are left.

Edit: my mind drifted to this while I was at work, and I remembered Ezell. He was a nice guy even with the whole hacking fiasco (lot of people in the community he and I were in didn't want to believe it because he was a cool person to chill with), and I remember he invited me to play a scrim with Consortium. I think we won on Gpit and I had no idea what was going on but goddamn it was a lot of fun. Some guy in our community got REALLY hardcore into it after that and that's around when the place started to get bad and I ran to FA.
