Artem:O I would have bought if I knew it placed in a random team.
tickets may still come up as people get refunded (stuff happens that people can't attend)
keep an eye on the thread on overclock.net (in OP), admin will post if one comes up
x3Grillz, is your team full? :3
yessir, sorry !
FogI'm also still looking for a team
Get in with these guys above! Having people from tf.tv will make you way more competitive than if you were to sit on randoms.
x3GigaYeah I'd still like to find a team too. Soldier/demo/scout and a reasonable attitude.
I guess we could team it up!
Add me on steam.
for people who have single TF2 tickets
you should have gotten an e-mail last night. You need to reply to that e-mail with any requests for people to play with. This includes if you only have one or two players (i.e., if x3 and giga e-mail to play with each other, they'll be on the same team with 4 other randoms)
otherwise you will be placed on a random team with other random people who have single tf2 tickets
buying a tf2 ticket means you've entered the tf2 tournament. They sold a certain number of tf2 tickets to make a pre-determined number of teams, meaning you have to play in the tournament... otherwise a team will be short.
If you don't e-mail with who you'd like to play with, you will be assigned to a team with 5 randoms (which may or may not work out)
edit: I bolded "will be" to emphasize that they will be expecting you to play in the tournament (and need you to play)
that is all 8)
BlackdottI am still unable to connect. I have heard of several others rebooting their modems to fix the problem, but that is not working for me.
the issue is still with gamesurge, I messaged cinq the other day and he said he's doing what he can to talk to gamesurge.
Artemive never been to a lan so i really dont know what to do/bring/atmosphere can someone fill me in please?? :D
to do:
- show up ( 930-10am if you're enthusiastic and worried about where you'll sit, otherwise anytime before noon)
- tournaments should start around noon - 1pm (they'll make it very clear)
- while not playing the tournament you can check out the benchers, play pub style inside the LAN servers, hopefully we'll run some pugs -- take advantage of and soak in the glory of 5 ping, meet people (as long as you aren't playing a single player game in the corner, you'll benefit from being at a LAN)
to bring:
- PC, including all peripherals (monitor, headset, keyboard etc) and cables. They provide an ethernet cable but you could bring one just in case
- power bar might be a good idea as well
atmosphere:
- dudes playing video games... some people will be off the charts nerdy and that might be interesting to you, some people won't even know what tf2 is
- way more laid back and unprofessional then you might expect
Due to storage limitations, recorded videos (i.e., "Past Broadcasts") are removed after several days. Once removed, they cannot be recovered.
You can save a video by clicking the gear icon below the video player and selecting Save forever. Similarly, if you wish to delete a video, select Delete from this menu.
We recently created a notification system to notify you that your broadcast has been recorded and that you should make a highlight ASAP.

we could call them OutHouse PUGs
reminds me of this

NoraWent for a used viewsonic. I like it. Kind of an awkward res and fast becoming out of date in terms of 120 hz monitors, but it still works well. Haven't run into any problems yet; I've had it for about a month now.
Just be careful with the stand, its fragile/weak
thanks for casting!
frknthe preview they have make it seem like they intentionally made the non surround clip sound as bad as possible.
I felt that way too.
It's something I'd like to try but I feel like I'm really use to in-game sounds already that it will only throw me off.
you don't open the map that way
you need to place it in your tf/maps folder (there will be lots of other .bsp files there) and then you can load the map in game
does anyone have a ticket but NOT a team?
