#5 School in Off Topic
SAAM_If you're seeing a psychologist you really need to open up with them about this. Lack of motivation can be a symptom of something larger and if you feel like shit all the time it's hard to realize the consequences of not getting through school. If you're taking meds and still feeling like that it could be that those are only hurting the problem.

You shouldn't worry about telling the truth with your doctor though and it can feel pretty good to express what you're going through, especially to someone who can help you as much as a psychologist.

I'm on adderall for ADHD, which helps a lot. I like my psychologist, but I don't wanna admit that I'm trying to get on my feet and failing over and over and over again

#1 School in Off Topic

I have problems with school. I honestly don't know how to handle it or how people ever do work. I sit down and open up my laptop, and I try to do work, but it all seems grossly unappealing. I'm failing one of my classes and I feel like I just can't take it any more. I had a mental breakdown in English class today, and I just feel all around miserable. I don't know HOW to do work, or more specifically how to get motivated to do it. I see a psychologist every other week, but I end up lying to her just so I don't feel bad. Every day I fear that another teacher is gonna send an email home to my parents about my sub-par performance, leading to yelling, arguing, having my night ruined and sometimes not being allowed to play games (which ends up in me missing scrims). How do I get motivated? Like 10% of the time I just do the work, but the other 90% it's SO hard to get motivated to do anything. I'm gonna guess some of you have been in the same situation before, how do I get out of these habits? Thanks in advance

#8 lft scout/demo in Recruitment (looking for team)

I don't know him very well but I hear nothing but good things about him. The times I have played with him he was really chilled out and relaxed. He's got good DM and I'd pick him up for your team

#24 Froyotech = Death of tf2? in TF2 General Discussion
taggIt's an issue but it's not Froyos fault
In order to make LAN you have to put in massive amounts of hours into scrimming, practicing, going over strats and etc.You finally get there, try your hardest and you entertain the crowd. Then you get 3rd place, go up to get your winnings and find out you've barely made even after your travel expenses and food costs are added up.

The donation drives in the past got a bad rep fast but you can't expect players to invest all of this time so you can see a "good show" while they end up with the short end of the stick. I guarantee you, for every TF2 LAN that's been held, a "top competitive player" has ended losing money to go and entertain people. The time and effort these people put into the game isn't being respected

For my first ESEA LAN I placed 4th and made -$44 with my winnings. Not including food or shuttle/taxi expenses either. Its butts dude

Well going to tf2 lan isn't really about getting money, it's more about going to a tf2 lan

womnificI think that cafemonster might pose some sort of threat to froyotech, but I think froyotech is doing too well to make invite interesting to watch. I'd rather watch high open
high im ≠ high invite

Well cafemonster were high IM last season, and they're gonna move up to invite. I hope they do well in invite

#56 cp_glassworks (5cp) in Map Discussion

I really like the map, I think there are a couple of flaws but overall it's really great. Pushing into second is really enclosed inside, leaving minimal opportunity for the roamer to go for plays and instead having to watch the flank. Also, there seems like a lot of entrances to second, which could be either good or bad. Sniper at mid seems really strong with the window, but I doubt we'll see a sniper run to mid by most teams. The mid itself reminds me somewhat of sunshine, except with more space for scouts and fewer options for soldier
