I end up switching a lot because I feel as if different crosshairs encourage different aiming styles at least for me.
I wanna encourage myself to track I use default/seeker
If I wanna encourage myself to be precise I use crosshair5
Crosshair7 feels well rounded.
Colours I change depending on the map.
scout mains don't have an internal monologue
When I would change my sens while playing scout I'd always find that you can get used to the adjustment of how much to move the mouse in order to move the crosshair a certain amount (mouse aim?) fairly quickly, but what took adjustment was the timing of shots because if you have a faster sens probably you're going to move the crosshair to the desired location more quickly and so you need to adjust for that and therefore you might find that practicing a lot against bots isn't going to help you get adjusted.
dm/MGE is also somewhat artificial so I'd try to play a lot of real games against good players i.e more scrims and pugs, next best thing is lobbies.
If it feels like it's getting slower your wrist/arm movements are becoming smaller, focus on moving your hand/arm more to make it feel faster.
What I will say though is that once you start changing sens all the time it's like a disease, just find one and stick with it through the good and the bad and you'll probably have a better time.
I'd like to be able to actually play a pug, now that EU pugs are dead. So yes I'd like players from other regions to be allowed to queue together. Either that or stick me in NA permanently.
Merging advanced and amateur would be another way to fix this for EU potentially. Whatever it is I want to play and I do not want to play pugchamp.
MarxistActually medic in TF2 is the perfect communist - as contrary to the comic book version of "everybody is equal" communism's maxim is based on the biblical quote from Acts (if you're curious 34: Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35: And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.). "From each according to ability, to each according to need" (Marx in the Gotha Program) thus the medic, who has the ability to heal, ought to distribute them to where the need is greatest ;) In general doing so should result in a pretty good performance. One could argue poor medic play is often the result of putting heals where they aren't most needed kinda like capitalism ;)
What would happen if medics could heal themselves?
I just jumped on right now to see if anyone had them posted. Nice coincidence, thanks.
This sounds like a couple of great plugins but there is one small thing that I would change. The way the gg command is right now from your description would allow for a team to abuse it by typing /gg and then canceling it the last moment to try and catch the opponent off guard.
I would suggest perhaps having it so that only the team that typed it could see it somehow. I'm not sure if sourcemod can be used to hide (certain phrases from) chat if it was typed into the main chat window. If not then make it work via console command only perhaps?
One more thing is that it might be good to have it activate only on a majority rather than one player initiating it. This would mean that the countdown timer could be removed as I assume that is there mainly in case someone types it accidentally.
Great work though, keep it up.
FUNKeIf the game doesn't get that, it's not going to grow more than it is right now (unless by some miracle a community-made tournament miraculously garners so much attention that the game spikes but that's a theoretical .01% at best)
I don't think anyone thinks that a promod will actually expand the community. I think people that would push for that would be people that just want to play in a small but mechanically sound game.
I don't know what I think is the best, more than likely a promod would kill off anything left of the game but I sure am sick of Valve's shit and have been for some time.
Schweppesexcept for the fact that less than 1% of people who'd play mm stream it
They might if it didn't lag you like crazy.
I know I might give streaming it a go if it didn't enforce any graphical commands. I find that TF2 streaming can be kind of boring because you have to go on separate sites in order to get a game and it takes ages to start so there ends up being a lot of downtime.
So fixing matchmaking could possibly get a lot of people to stream and more people to actually play it so that wait times are reduced.
Schweppessa3lence_still my main grievance with the mode and why I don't like playing it, now that the competitive viewmodel program doesn't work for me with the preloadingspammyhAnd forced viewmodels and viewmodel fovpendarewind lan medalsUpdated mat_monitorgamma so it can be adjusted in Competitive mode
able to set max ping for mm
that's a pogchamp
this too
now what's left is to remove config restrictions and it's playable
I don't think the viewmodels are the biggest deal in the world now that they have the min viewmodels command, I'd prefer if they didn't enforce that but I can see why having them forced on could be a good idea (for streams).
I think the graphical commands being locked are much worse given that it means that people that can't run the game at a reasonable FPS unless they've got a really good PC.
I can only get a reasonable FPS in competitive matchmaking using 480p and I hate using 4:3 so it's not really acceptable.
It's not much of an essay but there are a couple of interesting points in there, obviously you've only scratched the surface though.
I've thought about making videos on scout movement but it is a lot of effort to do so and my thoughts are somewhat scrambled on it.
One thing that you mentioned about soldiers is their thought process on whether they should rush their shots and go for a direct or not based on their health/clip.
One thing I would add to that is if you're playing soldier there is a timing window where you can go for an early direct but still have a rocket ready for when the scout lands, and doing this will help with aiming the last rocket because you use the first one to influence their movement.
As a scout you'll want to use your timing to avoid this situation of course.

I am English and have always lived in England but I am also part Italian. I'm doubtful that this cup will happen but when I get to play a nations cup in ETF2L expect it to be with Italy. If anyone needs proof then I can give my details to an admin if one has access to one of those birth record sites.
