Upon cleaning up my computer and reinstalling my OS I opened up tf2 and saw that i could at most reach 20-40 fps with a graphics config, and I can only run cs:go at 9fps with my graphics turned down. This is incredibly disappointing as I used to get 200 fps on my old laptop with worse specs than my current one.

I suspect that there are faulty parts in my laptop, but how do i go about in figuring out which part is faulty? Is there a tool that I can use? And can any computer tech guys tell me what's wrong with my laptop?

The problem is with razer synapse, the only way to get rid of the problem is to turn off synapse. Synapse is incredibly buggy and razer doesn't have a fix for this yet.

All that I said is that you should not be happy with an average grade, especially if you could do better, you should not be happy with mediocre grades and should be constantly striving for better

Are you using first person view models? If not you could always try disabling view models and shadows

It's gonna be hard getting to 289 fps for most computers so no fps cap is fine

I'll reword what I said since some people don't get it: you should not settle for a 3.0 if there was any way you could have gotten higher.

You need to have at least 144 fps to take full advantage of a 144hz monitor
