Couldn't you just seed them into pools if it's hard to differentiate between every team? Seems like the most reasonable solution that prevents skewed brackets whilst not having to play guessing games about ambiguous players/rosters.

I'm requesting that this thread be locked to prevent confusion as there are several threads by me relating to Se7en floating around at the moment. If anyone has any further queries feel free to raise them in the other threads or reach out to me directly.
For clarification: the timer on the apparel is meaningless, all the items listed are currently set as permanent campaigns. The countdown is just to when the existing batch of orders will be fulfilled before the countdown resets to 3 days, so don't worry if you were planning to pick something up in a week or so. Some items are limited edition and as such will be taken down eventually, but that won't be until after rewind itself at the earliest.
I'm very sorry for the delay in fulfilling the remaining perks. There are some good reasons why things have fallen behind, but it is also an oversight on my part and I definitely could have done more to progress things and keep you in the loop. Now that my role in organising preparations for Rewind 2 is done, I'm going to make these loose ends my priority. There will be a video uploaded on the Se7en youtube tomorrow with a detailed explanation, and yourself and other relevant individuals should have an email specifically regarding the community frag movie.
Frag call for community movie: http://www.teamfortress.tv/45708/community-frags-by-se7en-democall
It is long overdue, however we are ready to create the community frag video we had originally intended for last year. It will be edited by AMS in his trademark style, and feature frags from those who purchased that perk for our rewind 1 fundraiser, the best submissions from this thread, and finally some clips of our own choosing from top-level play.
Clips should be submitted with the format "name_action_tick" so for example "kaidus_doubleairshot_56000".
That's it, get posting those frags!
I am happy to formally announce that Se7en will be attending Rewind 2, confirming an international presence at the event and thus making it the next world championship of TF2. Our roster will be as follows:
Scout – AMS @AMStf2
Scout – Thalash @ThalashEEE
Roamer – Drackk @Drackke
Pocket – kaptain @kaptai_n
Demoman – kaidus @kaidus_
Medic – Raymon @Rayyymun
From the outset, it has been our goal to make use of existing revenue streams within TF2 to further our ambition of attending all major LANs without a need of fundraisers. Thanks to the support of the community throughout our fledgling year, as well as our players willingness to reinvest prize money back into the game, Rewind 2 will not only continue this trend but also mark the first intercontinental voyage by a top team without a fundraiser.
This is as much a success for the team as it is for the community - and as long as the community is willing to lend its support, we will be able to guarantee an elite European presence at top events. Merchandise campaigns have been amongst our most successful endeavours; therefore to mark our second trip to the USA we have launched a brand new apparel range, featuring several limited edition items, as well as the addition of a permanent store featuring the original Se7en designs.

Having said that, we still regularly receive queries from people who want to directly contribute financially, and see 100% of that contribution go towards the organisation. Given that our ambition is always to reinvest any profit into TF2, we are now willing to offer this option via our twitch channel. Any money received will be used to subsidise the cost of our trip to Rewind 2 for the foreseeable future.
We will be flying out to California on Monday 12th February to boot camp prior to the event, with the aim of producing a variety of content in the process - the details of which will be announced over the coming weeks. It is thanks to your continued support that we are able to ensure that the TF2 competitive calendar remains as exciting as it has ever been. I will take this opportunity to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has helped make Se7en a reality since its inception in late 2016 – players, volunteers, and contributors alike. Rewind 2 is shaping up to be one of the best LANs in recent memory, and we are very excited to be a part of it. Stay tuned and cu@
Also the spawn point in the slanted corner that fucks demos should be removed.
Come across what seems to be a bug (haha bug lol) with the banners - at a certain distance (not particularly large) the sound cue is completely cut off. It doesn't fade or get quieter the further you are away from the pop, the difference between hearing the horn at full volume or not hearing anything at all is one step backwards at a certain point.

Note: sounds work differently on STV, so you have to see the stream moment to see the no sound cue.
YouTube video of this happening on STV, and then timestamp on twitch of the same moment from my perspective. Would have edited into the video except twitch highlighting is currently broken for me. Same thing happened multiple times this map, this is just the one I chose at random to use as an example. For me this is pretty clearly broken, but maybe there are some arguments as to why this is an intended feature so thought I'd put it out on the table.
For the record I'm not blaming choke bustaz whatsoever for the use of it whether they meant to or not, it's all fair game till someone says otherwise, but now that it's been brought to my attention I thought it should be discussed (so we can finally get rid of all these shit banners!).
Will give full details tomorrow when I have time to type something up/make video. For now I would just like to point out that it's only ETF2L we don't have interest in playing. We don't have a lineup available for Sweden (although I will look into making a one off lineup for this event when details are available), it was too short notice for those of us with education and work commitments, so we will take a break, hopefully play some of these essentials cups while we wait for details on the next International lan.
Also, even if we were to outright fold the lineup (not on the cards whatsoever), we would either create a new lineup or back an existing team. There is much more to be said on the topic, but I have work in 6 hours so it will wait until tomorrow.
Yeah it will for sure happen. All relevant donors will be contacted very soon regarding it.
Since I'm posting, the 7 LAN video is also still in the works. This one in particular takes a lot of time and effort so stay tuned.
Nerdrage (and similar orgs), always intended to back their players to big LANs (relative to TF2) provided they compete at a top level. Clueless post.
Honestly the guys who have been cheering him on for the past three weeks when he's been in this state should take a look at themselves too. The amount of positive reinforcement puoskari has received whilst doing these sorts of antics is pretty disgraceful. He clearly has issues underlying the substance use, some of which definitely seem to be to do with interpreting social behaviours. Being egged on by hundreds of people was only ever going to go one way with someone so seemingly vulnerable. It doesn't excuse the behaviour, but everyone should take personal responsibility for themselves before condemning this guy, and from my perspective people other than puoskari himself have given very poor accounts of themselves.

Crusader's Crossbow
- Bolt healing is very high and significantly out-heals the Medigun when the target is in combat. This might be okay given the trade-offs (risk-vs-reward of ranged shots hitting and the opportunity cost, no overheal). However, it's also the fastest way to build Ubercharge - under the right conditions (e.g. corner damage farming with the Medic behind cover).
- Changes:
- Ubercharge gain rate reduced in the same way that the Medigun's healing (and therefore, Ubercharge build rate) is - based on the last time the target was in combat
- Reduced by a third when 1 - 10 seconds outside of combat, and scales up to normal over 10 - 15 seconds
I don't understand what they mean by this change. Medigun builds exclusively based on time spent healing, not how many heals are put out. Only thing that impacts it is buffing at high health builds slower right?
Does this mean the Crossbow will now do less healing and require "crit heals" or have they added a new mechanic where Uber builds slower if you recently took damage while healing remains uneffected?
I always thought it was strange that crit heals don't build Uber faster, but this update note reads like valve don't understand how the mechanic currently works.
I think what they did was add in "crit uber %" for the crossbow specifically. So when the player has crit-heals, they also get the max uber % gain from the crossbow, whereas if they get bowed right after getting damaged, it's only a third of what it currently is.
Yeah my intuition is this as well.Since valves seem to be active in this thread I hope this can be clarified.
trippakaidus
crossbow works differently from medigun, the uber built is proportional to heals put out
Yes, but they state in the notes:
"Ubercharge gain rate reduced in the same way that the Medigun's healing (and therefore, Ubercharge build rate) is - based on the last time the target was in combat"
For me this is ambiguous whether it only affects building or heal output as well. The wording suggests medigun build rate is connected to heal rate. It could just be poorly worded, and the intended meaning is "and therefore, Ubercharge build rate [of the crossbow]" however that is not how the sentence reads in its current structure.
