I'm really struggling to understand why a small bit of aim assist is detrimental to a game where you are using a peripheral inferior to a keyboard/mouse

Oblivionagedo they even have pugs or scrims LOL i think they just practice their quickscopes and dolphin dives. no strat talks. nothing. It's not that the game is bad it's just their competitive scene is much more dumbed down compared to other games. Theres not much to the game when it comes down to strategy. it's like trying to make a competitive sport out of a game of catch.
Of course there are scrims and pickups dude. Its pretty obvious you have no idea what you're talking about.
How is there not much to the game and how is it dumbed down? Please explain. Its essentially CS without the money system when it comes to S&D, and there are plenty of other game modes.
Also to the dude that posted the article; I don't think you can make a statement about the competitive scene based on an article written about pubs ...regardless of the merit of the article. It is pretty fucking awful (my opinion) and seems to be based on players who like one game saying they don't like another. Maybe the company in question, tripwire, should make games that are more fun. Then they wouldn't have to complain about people not liking them.
What exactly makes the game so bad? The fact that every PC FPS player likes to jump on the bandwagon and assume so? To be frank nobody in this thread has made any good arguments other than what seems to be "I don't like it and I won't play it"
I'm sure if you sat down and played a pug or a scrim you'd probably have a good time
I enjoyed watching.
What a coincidence that all the shitty open players can't help but hate on another game.
Anyone hating on this, seriously, open your mind a little. If the game has such a "low skill cap" you should go enter the next tournament and win $400k.
slep or make eye contact with cute people
It's not really that great. A bit boring and needlessly tedious - the premise of non-euclidean geometry isn't done well at all either imo. Any 10 year old could understand their interpretation in around 5 minutes
edit - not saying the puzzles are easy but I think the MIND BLOWING WOW I CANT WRAP MY HEAD AROUND THIS aspect of the game people talk about is exaggerated way too much
Piano/Synth

There are tons of great games you can play that don't need your wrists. Don't be too bummed, gaming isnt over :C

I always used to sleep super well at night when I used to ski/mountainbike a lot, and I have the same problem, lots of people do
Cardio for like 1 hour+ per day will almost surely fix your problem
masturbating might help but lets be honest you're probably doing that every day anyways if you're a guy
i drank a lot of coke yesterday and ate really spicy fajitas so i woke up with heartburn
I will probably drink it again but in moderation
MYLES
Of course playing fps would make you better at fps. What do you expect?
To say console fps is dumbed down is fine, because it is. But a limitless skill ceiling still obviously exists. A non-player from the outside would say the PC players are more skilled because of the refined control, whereas all of the console players are on an even playing field, and don't have the same peripherals available; thus they are as skilled as they can be, just as the PC players are. A game isn't "crap" because you cant control it as fast and as accurately as you want. If that was the case, PC games are "crap" because I can't control them with my brain and never miss a shot. It doesn't make any sense.
