I pay for 15 down/2 up and get 1/10th of that. 7 Down should be fine for anything in your situation, anyhow.

Off topic, but - just moved into portland, got centurylink, its awful. 80 ping to servers within portland, 130 to chicago, 120 to dallas, etc. Speeds are 1/10th of what we're paying for. Going to have to cancel and go with comcast.
