WithADanceNumberis anyone else fustrated by this?

I really wanted to play ESEA this season. But with there being two open teams and no sign of anything changing I moved over to where the players were (CEVO). Now it looks like esea might be stabalized, and i've already secured payments to cevo. I can afford both, thats not an issue but i'm not sure at this point which league will be better for me. I'd prefer to only commit my time to one league (I work evenings sometimes so scrimming/matches can be rough). With 4 match nighs a week, potentially on different maps I just don't know what to do...

Registration for Team Fortress 2 Season 4 will open on Monday, January 20th and will end on Monday, February 17th at 11:59 PM CST.

ASK FOR YOUR REFUNDS WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE. It seems like you still have another 2 days which is plenty of time.

Yep we do. As long as your team is not registered in the league, irregardless of request for refund, we refund the fee.

RaedynDo you even have any pull with the people in control of the tf2 Esea stuff? I feel like people have been begging for some shit to change or at least work properly for quite some time. It's like Esea asks for suggestions and then does absolutely nothing with them except try to give you the illusion that what you say matters. I mean you are asking people to tell you what needs to happen for them to want to play in Esea again and then saying that you will pass it along. Which we all should know by now that passing anything along there will just be totally ignored . Just seems like false hope that anything will actually improve with Esea given that people have asked for the same changes so many times and still here we are.

You seem like a great person killing and I feel for you trying so hard to make the best out of what you have but are any of these requests even within your power to change? (pug system, client and server issues,transparency,tf2 coverage and so on)

I hope for the best with either league. I hope this game grows and people find the place they feel is out for the best of the game and the people competing in it. Good luck to everyone this season in whatever league they go with.

Thank you for doing this promotion killing. It's great to give the newer teams a chane to play here without having to pay. It also effects all of the teams in the other divisions who have worked really hard to get where they are.Thats's not why he's doing it. He's doing it so that the TF2 league doesn't fold.

GardaI'm confused, why haven't you done this earlier. If you had noticed that people were leaving, and slowly less support came to the ESEA league itself. Why didn't you try to promote ESEA a long time ago?

I was looking at alternate solution but I now feel this is the best path.

AllealKillingI really couldn't disagree more. What makes CEVO's platform better? They picked up likeable community figures and made a league. I'm not sure if I heard correctly but a large piece of the prize pot came from nahanni's pocket. They aren't risking much on TF2, I'm willing to risk it all. I want you to tell me right now what you want me to do to improve ESEA TF2. I'm more than willing to have a discussion.
I didn't say it was necessarily better. You sound blind sided by this paradigm shift even though it's been evolving for months. Like you (and a lot of the other ESEA supporters) didn't really believe that it might actually happen. Where were all of you when this conversation started? CEVO struck while the iron was hot and reaped the benefits. Now ESEA comes along months later and is surprised by it? That's what I don't understand, and that's the kind of aloofness that I think so many players chafe under.

Yea CEVOs s4 prize pot was funded largely by a couple members of the community. But that's part of the attraction isn't it? It feels good to be supporting ourselves. It reinforces the idea of a league for the players. I'm not saying CEVO will necessarily be better, but surely you can understand why people will think so.

I understand that TF2 is an insignificant part of ESEA, and that allowing us to play with them was generous. I don't blame ESEA for treating TF2 the way it does. As the TF2 community grew it was more or less inevitable that they'd want to break away.

I'm not talking about which league is better. I think that obviously the best solution is to play both for the time being. I'm just explaining why I think this is happening.

I'm not surprised at all. CEVO gave their piece, now I'm going to give mine. I've already have many people pm me saying they are going to either play both or switch. Unless CEVO doesn't allow refunds, we should all be on our merry way.
