Hey there all,

I think rep is still serving out his vac ban, maybe back for next owl. Someone else could correct me but I haven't seen him on any rosters
yoonasorry kimchi i think what you wrote is greatjust the idea of SQL winning anything other than "most overrated team" makes me laugh.great write up!!!!!!!!mustardoverlord_yoonafanboi_2012
Haha, so true yoona, maybe it is wishful thinking of mine that grey finally gets a win. I thought last season they would get trashed but they pulled out the big guns going through the season, did falter at the finals though. I just don't want to be on iM or fray because I think they would give $1.05/$1.10 rather than $2.45 for SQL. I should run a book on this.
And pale, great writeup and great reasons for your choices! I think fog are a really good chance to win actually. For div two, th as well. For divs 4 and six I am not sure yet. Div 5 I would be remiss if I didn't say No Dice can win. I am a bit biased on that one.
Sweet, thanks! Hard to deny iM and their history.
Oh well. I'm probably going to be wrong on everything anyway, so that's the fun part! Mustard, can we get some predictions from you? It would be good to get some outside opinion.
Yeah, from what I understand of it they wanted someone who actually wanted to play and want to do well, not just be there. Drak will do well, and they have enough support for him to make a mark.
That's cool yoona, we are all entitled to our own opinions. The purpose of this thread is to get people who may not visit ozfortress to come and have a look. I expect premier division to be really hard fought, and don't worry, I will get to all the divisions eventually. If others.want to.give their predictions, go ahead!
Interesting.fact, neither of us predicted iM to win. Showing a sea change?
I'll try and do div 2 and 3 later today.
If you are reading this and don't know these teams, come along for the ride, you definitely won't.be dissapointed.
So anyway, I went over the post limit, and there are lots more divisions and things to go through but I will leave it there for now.
As promised, here are the links if you want more information on anything Ozfortress, and all of Greavers links because he is awesome and will be casting non-stop for the next few months.
A little more background, Australians and New Zealanders play a lot of TF2. We may even give you guys a run for your money. Currently the following competitions are being played out at the same time.
OZFL - weekly leagues 6v6
OZHL - weekly leagues Highlander
OWL8 - Round Robin Elimination tournament.
As well as this we have cups, ultiduo and state v state tournaments throughout the year. Tune in and join us sometime!
If there is anything specific you would like to know let me hear it and I will try and chase the answer up for you.
Cheers

OK, this might not contain all the dramas etc of the other posts I have seen here, but it might give you a good idea and a taste of what to expect this year.
I will probably just start with the premier division, as that is the most popular and will have players that some of you are familiar with.
Teams entered in the Premier Division are:
FRAY - One of the top three teams, filled with fantastic talent across the roster, and led by Termo, demoman extraodinare, who has hung around here a couple of times. They play pretty aggressively and a little more to the style of having their demo healed and leading the charge. Very much in contention for the top prize, but have had a heavy defeat to iM in their last final meeting during the capping for a cause competition. Can they avenge that defeat? (Guess where they will finish? 3rd)
Sequential Gaming - the perenial runners up. Seriously, have finished second to Team Immunity so many times, however for the spectators it really never gets old, as they are always putting up a great solid fight. Skilled across the park again, look to the leadership of Greyhunter to take them through and maybe shed that bridesmaid tag. Watch Raiin as he demonstrates that those jump videos are no flukes. (Guess where they will finish? 1st) The Aussie community will probably say I am dreaming on this, but they brought it big time last year, and I am a massive gambling man.
spiceboiz - newly formed for OWL 8, a team of superheroes led by none other than eps. Lots of discussion in my teams mumble the other day on where they would finish. There is some really solid talent across the roster, but I am going to give them a 5th place. The reason? Mostly bias and I would like to get good odds.
Team Supremacy - When I say this team will get 4th and push 3rd the whole way, I will get laughed out of town. Havoc is one of the best medics in oz TF2, and not just because he used to be in our lowly div 5 scrubber clan. Teamed up with Venom who is a vicious scout, always hunting, and you have a combination that can pull off upsets. Also, I got a sunbeams stout shako because I once got dominated by xe in a scrim.
upgrade tf2 - I love these guys. Going to have to say they are the underdogs in this division though. Abender jumped from div 6 to div 1 in a season though, so you never know. I think though that it is going to be really tough for these guys, however there is a chance to pull off a win or two. As the underdogs, they will automatically get the support of everyone in the tf2 community, if not their money. 8th. (Sorry Jump!)
vivid Reprisal - The admin team. great guys, really rock solid across the park, and seige is my trading partner. Usually finish high up, and in ozfl they are a consistent force to be reckoned with, however I think this year they may be up against it. However, still not discounting them from pulling off a few wins. Always the most humourous team to play. No Mercy can aim, and aim well. Also gets to cast himself sometimes, which is always fun to watch. 6th.
World Underground - The new guys! Fresh Meat! Have been pulling out consistently recently with solid high level play. I am going to mention ferelah here for a couple of reasons. Solid high level player, he was also at i46 holding up signs with spelling mistakes. Also, he is the admin of my div, div 5. The Disney div. Which means I support this team to go all the way and finish 7th.
iM intel - Team Immunity always win. I am going to rank them 2nd here, because every article needs controversy. Led by yuki, who is considered one of the best players we have, however the strength in this team is not just yuki, but also their med bonobo, aporia, hellscream (or minzy or the man who plays two hours of tf2 a week) bulk, and the ever scary sheep. If you only tune in for one thing this season, and I hope you all join for more than one, but just join in to see sheep on a koth-viaduct. It is literally the funniest thing.
Done deal. I'll do something tomorrow, getting late and work is early.
Hey all! Greetings from sunny Sydney.
Just inviting everyone in this awesome community to check out

As our major competition run a couple of times a year it is really the best display of Australian and New Zealand tf2 play.
GreaverTV will be providing major coverage of as many matches as possible with great guest casters, so please check his YouTube channel or twitchtv when it is live.
With 6 divisions and over $2k worth of cash prizes on the line, we are sure to see some brilliant tf2 action.
If anyone is interested I will be happy to write a little bit more about the divisions, teams, expectations and where to follow through ozfortress and greavertv tomorrow.
Thanks for looking, if you have any questions ask. Quite a few of the top players drop by and I'm sure will answer any questions you have.
Cheers mates!
Is there anything about your game style or play that you would change? Something that maybe you have seen another great player/team of past/present/NA or Euro or Aus or elsewhere do that you thought could add to your metagame?
Also, much appreciation for the insights you have given. It is great to have such a high level player give the answers you have.
