new tftv record for fastest onset
I was pretty bummed out about the LAN situation, everyone had 20-30ms scoreboard even though the servers were LAN. I ran a traceroute and there was a hop that was adding 12ms in the venue. I'm led to believe this may have been a venue issue, I don't know anything about networking.
It felt worse than playing online, presumably because everything was configured for zero ping.
Mostly I was shocked that the other players didn't seem to care. I remember the feeling of my first time playing on LAN because it's almost surreal to be playing against real players when your game feels as good as it does in an offline local map.
Thanks to everyone for putting on an incredible event though, I had a ton of fun and everything else was top notch

the fog is the one part of dx9 you can't fix unfortunately, makes sniper unplayable

Upgraded to ddr5 and did some tweaking.
Don't read too much into it being the RAM - I only got about 10-15 extra fps in each benchmark from ddr4->ddr5, the rest of the improvement is from optimizing the core configuration (disabling ecores and hyperthreading gives you more thermal headroom to crank the pcores).
Even with ecores enabled, manually changing the core affinity in hl2.exe gives me an enormous increase in fps, which tells me it's not worth having them on for purely tf2.
I'm on windows 10 though and I've heard the w11 scheduler is much better with ecores.
As a sidenote, benchmark_test doesn't seem to care much what I do to it anymore. The results vary wildly based on seemingly nothing. I suspect the death cam zoom in it is causing problems

The RAM isn't running anywhere near optimal but I don't know how many more reboots to bios I have in me.
I had it running at 7400c34 stable and the fps didn't improve by much at all so I'd rather not worry about it

this is the layout according to the insomnia website, the seats around the tf2 area are "unavailable" on the seat picker but not sure if they'll unlock them
If you put multiple stickies inside each other they do damage through certain surfaces. A pretty well known one is the first red spawn on upward which you can sticky from underneath, and the window on gully last.
