Suyo(btw Permzilla: my sister said you have the best handwriting out of everyone on this poster)
enigma tho
MIndAtleast let us quickswitch then. Standing basically still after a shot for no fucking reason is just idiotic. Imagine it in any other FPS. In quake, you could only walk for 2 sec after a railgun shot. Or in CS, you couldn't run after shooting someone with an AWP.
maybe remove movement speed penalty after shot is taken?
as high as you can get, maybe with a cap if you like it to feel consistent and you can achieve that framerate all the time. 120 is bare minimum but 240 feels nicer, capping to 121 feels noticeably more choppy after using 241
this happened at i49 too, people leave all the time, it's just the fact that new people coming into the game isn't as much of a momentous occasion as one of the best players stepping down, yet people are becoming as good as the old "best" all the time :]
ikpureYea if I wanted to see a lame frag show I'd watch one of your videos that you call "edits".
i didn't bring up your videos, nor did i say mine were anything more than trash
ikpure I have nothing against over editing if it is done right (e.g. cla)
cla does not nearly overedit
ikpuregoogler is good when it comes to knowledge of effects but that is really about it.
"knowledge of effects"? he has better flow, smooths, creativity and even sound editing than most tf2 editors on youtube
ikpure Ask him to make a good 7-8 minute video without giving the viewer a headache and/or seizure.
7-8 minutes? boring, i'll take the headache
ikpureHe is far from the best. If you really wanna talk about who the best is I suggest you look at some of torn production's works and maybe watch bones' lan trilogy.
once again, you're arguing for something else entirely. these types of video are for showcasing the frags
The smooths were really fucking cool, with the exception of the thirdperson at :35 and the clipping at :45.
ikpurenot taking any applications but that goose doe
tone down your editing a bit I can't see shit... inspired by googler?
i've never understood people who say shit like this
if you want to see the frags, why are you watching an edit at all? watch a fragshow, there are SO many of them
an edit is for the editor, it's about making something that looks sick regardless of what happens in the original demo, which is why googler is the best tf2 editor there is
edit: i think i misrepresented my point here. what i'm trying to say is, edits like this are allowed to exist. people like me absolutely enjoy them more than videos based around the frags, because after seeing a million different headshots and air-rockets already, i'm not interested. you can have your preference too, but don't complain about overedits every fucking time a video of this type comes out
check your host_timescale while playing
tornados2111Something that people haven't mentioned is input lag. I have found that dx 9 significantly increases input lag, even if you get good frames. I definitely recommend to anyone to try a config or at least just to set dx8 for a week and see if you can come back.
Of course some people are more or less sensitive to it but I'd recommend at least trying it out
I actually don't notice a difference between the two in terms of mouse movement, but dx9 feels much more responsive in terms of shooting. I still play on dx8 for the extra fps, though.
(For reference, I can't stand playing on lightboost because of the input lag)
