DavidTheWinI hope you're monitoring this because I've had one hell of a confusing night. First, Lawena was telling me it couldn't replace the custom folder, so I checked the permissions on it, it was read only so I turned that off. Same error. Turns out I have a fairly common bug with Windows where it sets read only permissions on folders and nothing can change it. In the end, I replaced the custom and cfg folders manually with the vpk's and HUD I wanted, but there was still the problem of Lawena trying to replace the newly filled custom/cfg folders again. I suppose this is where it becomes LWRT relevant. Before I found the read-only issue, I tried resetting the recording settings I was using and I found that if I didn't save the changes to the settings then I could launch TF2 without the "cannot replace custom" error but I wouldn't have any LWRT configs/files. After replacing the cfg/custom folders manually, the tool works like normal.

Just thought I'd update- suddenly it works. Well.
I had to change to the Aero scheme on W7 for it to show the dropdowns.
I can't replace the skybox in demos using lawena v4. I've tried most of the skyboxes in the program and none of them work (it uses the default skybox no matter which one I select in the program).
I have tried:
- editing pure_server_full.txt to say "any" instead of "trusted_source"
- editing pure_server_minimal.txt the same
- alias sv_pure ""
None of these work. I'm not getting anything special in console, it seems.
Any ideas?

flippersheh. the problem is still persisting, surprised people care about this now i mean its not gonna get fixed any time soon so you might as well just get over it and learn sfm which is a shitty alternative but do you really have a choice.
edit: im sorry if this was too blunt
it's blunt but it's true. sfm is less of a pain in the ass anyway, at least once you work out the basics

FogDeepI don't get the point of not putting snipers in. Now if I want some sniper dm practice I have to go annoy people on an MGE server to get some practice.Because it's not fun to get killed from any spot on the map in possibly 1 shot.
That's not exclusive to DM. Sniper is legal everywhere else.
FogAlso in most cases it's a waste of a player slot.

KanecoWireplay doens't have shiny in-game medals tho (I think, not absolutely sure), believe it or not that plays a big part for many people.
Those aren't the kind of people we want to play the game with. If you're only playing for a medal at platinum level you should really reconsider...lots of things
