looking for clips to edit individually. povs preferred, but stvs will do too. please name the demos after the ticks, map name and whatever the frag is (ex: playername_airshot_granary_101236 or playername_5k_gullywash_10245). no tf2lobby demos.

You're doing god's work, Caspian. Thank you.
Saltysally1I am not wrong, most smooths cla uses are probably stv and the simple fact is that pan and crop works wonders
Mustard kirby isn't mediocre just very egotistical in the way he expresses criticism he came off like a dick and I didn't know he was trying to help :(
I'm more than sure Cla smooths with POVs. You can normally just tell if it's POV or free handed with STV.
Anyway, I'm sorry for being an asshole. Just seriously practice with POV demos until you're satisfied with your ability to smooth with them. The best you can do with an STV is half of what you're capable of doing with POVs.
For example, stop motion smooths like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFdVW-pTC2I It's not the best since that was literally my first time trying it, but this isn't gonna happen with an STV.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXpMinSv51E I made a smoothing tutorial awhile back, hopefully it will help you. But yeah, sorry for being an asshole. Just do what's best and practice smoothing with POVs.
"i want to learn how to smooth pov demos but i need practice" You do not practice smoothing POV demos with STV demos. To practice smoothing POV demos, you practice with POV demos until you're satisfied.
I honestly couldn't care less what he decides to do, but it's frustrating I was trying to help him then he just became way too stubborn for me to not be annoyed.
Is there a problem that I enjoy editing to an artist's songs/remixes? You don't have to like my videos, no one's making you.
I don't think you understand. Using an STV to smooth while rendering because it's "slower," makes no sense considering the video will be choppy and will skip frames. Like I said, you're better off actually smoothing an POV demo.
And as for Cla, yes, he is a great editor. Whether he's better than me or not is not up to me, it's up to our viewers. I make simple edits, he likes getting fancy. My reasons for not liking his video that much were solid. All of this is irrelevant to this thread. Do not try to smooth with an STV and expect good results, you'll be disappointed every time.
edit: Oh, and yes, you're right. I do still "find criticism in his videos." Last time I checked, me being an editor doesn't mean I'm still not a viewer like any other person.
edit2: You're also better off not making a "community video." If you're trying to learn stuff, you're better off just making short videos then work your way up. Obviously you're not going to listen because you're stupid, but that's fine by me.
Any moron who thinks you can properly smooth with an STV needs to never edit a video. Manually smoothing by hand WHILE rendering the video? Good fucking luck.
I have a great idea. How about you take a POV demo and try to actually make a smooth with it other than taking some cheap knock off way out that is going to result worse than a POV no matter how you do it.
preferring STVs over POVs is the worst thing you can say.
the thread title got my hopes up high. let me just say it's not that high anymore.
Don't think he's going to do the rest.
It's okay. It definitely feels a lot different than it did a few versions ago when I liked it more.
