The biggest reason Trumps twitter presence is so large is because almost everything he says is very non-inclusive, controversial and often times stupid. He's probably the most popular twitter-politician but you don't see democrats or even most republicans follow in his steps of being super provocative. The importance of an online presence has been a thing years before Trump decided to run for president. Popular shows like House of Cards demonstrates this and it came out in 2013.

I never questioned the legitimacy of what he posted even if I'm very sceptical to the purpose of a pastebin only containing negative statistics on a targeted minority group. And of course I'm justified in saying that that pastebin is serving a transphobic narrative when it's posted in a thread about a trans-person that has turned out to have a relationship with a minor. The only thing that post does is create more fear and ignorance about trans-people. Don't pretend it's raising awareness about problems transgender people are facing in our society today.

It's not about "ignoring facts" when the facts are clearly meant to strengthen a transphobic narrative and are in no way relevant to this thread. Implying that people should have seen this coming because of Nursey being trans is the biggest and most pathetic stretch I've seen. The only people you help with these kind of posts are the ones that need some form of validation for being prejudist against normal trans-people.

This is no different from the gaslighting in the avg /r/The_Donald thread where some black kid gets shot by a cop and people post statistics on black overrepresentation in crime to try and justify it.
