FritoWhat exactly is going on guys? Did giraffe create the match, the only one I know adds esea matches? Is it going to take people working on it or are the people that can do it not available?
Brooky, giraffe and I both add ESEA matches. Froyo vs. TSU was added by brooky. However, that is not really relevant. We have access to adding and editing teams, leagues, and matches. We don't have access to the database or website code. We don't have any ability to work with the bots. Like I said: the only people who can do anything about this are currently offline or at the very least not responding to messages in slack, which could mean busy with work, I suppose, if someone has a night shift that I don't know about.
FritoBecause I saw giraffe in a pug on DanceNumber's stream earlier today. If this is a people problem or if it's glitched is what I want to know and I'm just curious because if it is a people problem I don't know how.
Like I said above I don't believe giraffe can do anything about the issue. The match is glitched in some way, it could be any number of things relating to steam trade message errors, bots being logged off / unable to transfer items, some coding issue I'm unaware of, etc. The people with the knowledge and ability to trouble-shoot this problem are offline currently. We will continue to do our best to resolve this issue, our apologies.
Thanks for letting us know about these issues. Unfortunately the number of people with access to the database / who can handle problems like this is limited and due to time-zone issues I'm not sure when they'll be back on. I have notified everyone I can; there isn't much more I can personally do, unfortunately.
The point about transparency is a very good one, we're currently discussing ways of being more open about when we're having difficulties, possibly a more active twitter or more frequent posts in this thread (maybe both?). We are trying our best, however. As geel said above, when the website is fully transferred over things should run much more smoothly. Thanks for your patience and my apologies for the continued issues.
I don't believe there is at the moment: we do have a little banner function implemented for the site, maybe we should look into using it for updates of this nature, that's a good idea.
I did mention difficulties verifying the game above (earlier in the thread) but didn't really go into depth since I had no idea why the bet wasn't verifying, sometimes steam servers are just down or there's an error with a single trade offer so verification doesn't go through.
My apologies for that game: I first tried verifying that game about fifteen minutes after it finally concluded and couldn't due to unknown issues, even after around 20 attempts. Over the past two days I've continued trying but to no avail, and after discussion with Jon we're pretty sure it's an issue with Steam, specifically bots being logged out or unresponsive for whatever reason. In any case: the lack of verification is not, in this case, a lack of effort on the part of the volunteers. I sincerely apologize for the slow responses in terms of verification and bets: we're in a bit of a transitional period right now.
However, there is another issue, which is games not being played when we think they are. I'm not speaking about any specific games just in general about lack of communication. Many invite leaders are very good about this, thank you. There are still games that slip through the cracks though, and we'd appreciate some help in that regard. I do my best to message team leaders but if you've already confirmed with me the game is happening at a certain time and it doesn't happen I'm not sure what else I could have done. All invite team leaders, please do make an effort to remember to message me or brooky when/if plans change, we can't bother all of you 24/7 to stay in the loop. At least one person from each team has us on friends so it should be fairly easy.

Is this a mid-season change? If so I disagree with it ideologically: nothing has changed since the update that introduced the mechanic so if this was going to be policy it should have been implemented before the season started. Unless there was a case of this being somehow exploited.
In looking for a way to procrastinate I attempted to make you guys a 4plug thumbnail. 4Plug's documentation states that icons should be 80 x 40 px, which is an extraordinary low resolution. That basically made me unable to actually make something new, so I converted your 'signed by saxton hale' to that resolution so at the very least you guys had something.

Feedback on spread is noted: while I'm covering matches I'll be trying to use it minimally. JohnMilter is correct, however, in that it's hard to predict the score. Considering the 5-0 to Strawberry Mangoes the previous day I can understand why people bet so hard on Ascent and also why spread seemed like a good idea. We'll continue to try to improve our usage of it as it is contentious.
MLX v froyo isn't up yet but that game will have spread yes.
