Can anyone give me a hand making DX9 look and feel as similar to how the game felt on DX8 as is possible? I really don't like DX9 but obviously we're all going to have to get used to it.

No I believe it's a boolean value as to whether you see one or the other.

its so unique in its mechanics that it HAS to be a unique weapon, but its borderline a waste of a weapon slot because its still really similar to stock

You're telling me that they regret "cluttering the game" when they do exactly that with almost every single thing they add (including flashy pointless reskins, not complaining though I like some) while The Original actually changes something worthwhile for people used to centered rockets? Are you running on dx9? I'm getting a crash whenever I run it on DX9 for a bit.
Phoenix21konrit is still interesting to see how the players would handle higher level opponents, especially since most of them did actually play vs high level opponents, so that's why I think pug/center frags are not suppose to be impressive for them.
We've decided there'll be a sequel to this but this time we're not sure which members will actually be a part of it yet, and we're going to only use match/official and pcw/scrim frags. It's easier to actually have that this time because we have a while to actually collect them. Before as I say it was kinda a scramble to get some shit together and not all of us had teams to get those frags from!
I wonder how many people will find it entertaining to send high/prem soldiers to destroy pugs/centers and upload their highlights.

It's a little bit different when it comes to something as precise as sniping since there's no room for shooting the ground or anything like that. You can see how well someone is aiming no matter what and can get some really sick shots in any case as long as the players dodge or rocketjump a bit and things like that. You don't really get the same sort of flashy looking plays when playing other classes vs lower level players.
I'm glad you're happy to hear about the sequel, I can't say who'll be in it yet but I promise it'll scratch all of those itches people like yourself found unscratched by this one. :)
Phoenix21looking at the credits in the end and seeing all those names like jukebox/flippy/fl1p/wltrs/kensi and so on and yet most of the frags are from tf2center/perma sniping on pugs is really dissapointing.
I really think clips of stomping on centers and a clip of 5k all headshots with 2 midair ones in between from a high official should not be in the same movie.
but still great editing and the second song was fantastic.
It was pretty much dependant on who actually gave frags in or had any to give. If the movie was made at a different time it would have likely been different but instead it was really dragged out over a long time due to the first editor backing out and ikay just taking the frags he could get basically to actually get the editing done.
I share the sentiment that it's a little sad that there are so many low level games being played in these clips mostly, but also think you can still appreciate good aim despite that.
