#14 Further expansion/coverage in Site Discussion

i think the next issue is that an AU/asia staff would be needed. Are there people there willing to do camera/casts, promote content, general organization?

#12 Proposition: Mutual Mentoring for Spy Mains in Mentoring

#10 Proposition: Mutual Mentoring for Spy Mains in Mentoring

Huhy has a done similar thing where he would get high level players from different classes to do mentoring sessions on different maps and he would stream them.

heres an example

wareya#93:
that is not an example of 6s players being snide about HL, and it has nothing to do with the person I was responding to either, so I had no reason to believe it was in response to me whatsoever. there are a million reasons that open 6s players could've been being trash talking people from bonus and "just because we were HL players" is an extremely bold claim. unless someone brings up actual logs or gets some of the people who were doing trash talking to say what was going on there's no point in it. the whole point of why I'm posting in this argument here is to get out the point that, no, getting trash talked by 6s players as a HL player doesn't mean that your format is being persecuted -- or at the very very least not at a community wide level to the point where pinning it on "6s" players even makes sense.
the thing about invite players making HL seem like a joke is an entirely different topic, here.

My point is that TF.TV is trying to be a hub for all TF2. Clearly HL players feel ostracized here. There must be some reason for it. Why should I assume that he is making a bold claim. Why should i assume he is lying.

I realize -frags don't mean anything but they do state peoples opinions. This post had -6. http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/5429-proposition-mutual-mentoring-for-spy-mains. what was so bad about the post that it deserved to be minus fragged?

So again, HL players for whatever reason don't feel welcome. i just think that should change.

lamefxIt felt good to beat a team like mTs, just like it felt good to beat tangerine with b4nny and cyzer playing. But I would be shocked if anyone on bonus got much of an ego from it. We pretty much all understand that if invite players practiced HL anywhere near as much as 6s it would be completely different.

It does bother me a little when some invite players make comments about HL that make the format seem like a complete joke. I could be wrong about this, but it seems like that kind of view sets an example for a lot of other people in the 6s community. Me and some of the people from bonus made an esea open team this season, and I was surprised by how many people tried to troll us or talk shit about us just because we were HL players. I guess shit talk will happen regardless, but I can see why some people who enjoy playing HL would feel ostracized. That's just been my experience in open though.

As far as the original topic goes, if anyone even cares anymore, we have squider playing scout for us this season, and it's been very interesting listening to his perspective in terms of calling and strategy. I wouldn't say it's drastically changed anything in our meta-game, and squider doesn't always make the right calls, but he's definitely been teaching us some things about pushing, advantages, and positioning. I would say the biggest change has been making the game a little more fast paced with more aggressive and coordinated plays, especially more capitalization on small advantages. I think if HL continues like this it will only get better and more organized. And that's why platinum teams like us really wanted the invite limit lifted in the first place.

1. Why isn't RedRum also a guest? He's one of my favorites.

2. How can people contribute, honestly, besides map testing and becoming an admin?

3. Are there any actions of current admins that you don't support?

4. What is your view on the reports and conversations about sexual harassment that are happening in UGC lately?

I actually think it would be beneficial to have a straightforward admin ruling on this, besides deleted posts and quiet player suspensions.
