#24 Account Details Belonging to Someone Else in TF2 General Discussion
ViperSo should I just sign out of Steam completely or should I just not visit the Steam store page? I don't want somebody from across the world screwing around in my steam account buying games with my credit card.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation, Setsul. Really appreciate it. I'll look into it and I'll do some more homework.

SetsulYou said you want 60fps in SW:BF which you should already be getting.

I said that this game was an example of an AAA game. I never said I owned the game.

SetsulI just can't see the problem.

Alright, I'm gonna try to rephrase what I'm trying to mean :

I was getting at best 30 fps when playing Dirty Bomb on the lowest settings and on 720p. I tried other things to get better fps by doing the usual things (defragmenting, closing background programs), but that didn't help. I don't play Dirty Bomb anymore, but it made me realise that my computer is not good at handling more demanding games than TF2. I did some research, and I saw that my GPU was low tier for multiple reasons. I want to play more demanding games than Dirty Bomb (like Overwatch), so I'm looking to upgrade my GPU.

I hope this clears out most things and you can help me recommend a good GPU/power supply combo for the best price.

SetsulI've heard lower settings improve fps. Since you don't care about graphics you might want to use the lowest settings.m0nkeiI get 20-30 fps in battle on games such as Dirty Bomb on low settings at 720p.

?

SetsulAlso APUs are a stupid idea, especially if you're going to buy a dedicated GPU anyway. Two bottom of the barrel GPUs in Crossfire are still low end.

I know. This is exactly why I'm looking to replace it.

Star Wars Battlefront was an example of an AAA game. I don't know what performances I get from this specific game. I do know that I have a hard time running "lower-tier" games smoothly on low settings/resolution.

SetsulGoing by that logic I'd say it's an HDD bottleneck.
RAM and HDDs only do one thing: They store data. As long as you don't run out of space it's absolutely irrelevant how much you have in total.

I know that you are trying to tell me if it's really my graphics card the problem, but at this point, it's pretty obvious that my GPU is the reason why I get 20-30 fps in battle on games such as Dirty Bomb on low settings at 720p.

SetsulWhat are "high-end games"

High-end games to me are the triple-a games, such as Battlefield 4, Star Wars Battlefront, Assassin's Creed, etc.

What I am looking for is to run demanding games, such as Overwatch, at a smooth and consistent 60 fps on medium settings at 720p, since I don't care about graphics.

SetsulMake sure it's a GPU and not a CPU bottleneck

It's definitely a GPU bottleneck. I've looked up my graphics card and it has 512 MB of dedicated video ram.

SetsulThink about how much fps you want

I have a 60hz monitor, so I'm aiming for a little bit over that when playing 1366x768 on high-end games on medium to high settings.

SetsulYou can choose the cheapest GPU that'll get you enough performance.

How do I choose it though? Can I just pick up any graphics card and it'll work fine or do I need to look for a specific set of GPUs that works with my setup?

#842 PC Build Thread in Hardware

Hey there, looking to upgrade my GPU (ATI Radeon HD 7560D + 7670 Dual) and my 300w power supply for under 100-150$. I really don't know what to look for (model, memory) and some suggestions would be helpful!
