People can play how they want, certain things make certain people mad but whatever.
Here is the one thing you shouldn't do in MGE: Be really mean to other people. That's all.

you better be joking
the breaking point for me was when this one guy said that Steve Jobs said in an interview a few years ago that they would never make iPods/phones with colours, and then this girl said "Do you really think Steve Jobs cares what color they are?? Hes a billionaire!!!"
just OK ibby? you'll never compliment me ;~~~~~~; all i do is love u
kev in im lol
frknsurfing other peoples rockets can be a valuable skill though
Surfing rockets in any arena besides ammomod(mge) is fine, but surfing in ammomod gives you a pretty big advantage and is usually frowned upon. As well as jumping constantly in ammomod, I'd rather play someone surfing than jumping 24/7 honestly but they're both annoying to play against. It's one of the unwritten rules of MGE, yo.
fair for soldier v soldier and scout v scout but not soldier v scout. dunno, I think it's fine. even if a soldier selects ammomod vs a scout for a sort of guaranteed win, then the scout could select viaduct for a sort of guaranteed win
allenI still want to know who fe is
its fe
pharaohyhwhI wish i had people following me around
no, no you don't. people are weird and scary ~_~
grapewait maela then why did you alt in scrims for a week when you played with mason's team but use your main with alfa
because I happened to be on that account when we first played so then I just stayed on it for a few days, and if I played with masons team for sure I definitely wouldnt have stayed on yellow past the first 3 days

actually when you're just trying to warmup and have fun and people are constantly following you around in mge and hounding you about everything it gets really aggravating, so playing when nobody knows you is far more relaxed.
I just want to take this opportunity to tell you that when I join you on ammomod, it's nothing like this. I like playing you in ammomod because you're a challenging opponent but you don't surf every rocket and you have really good movement. But it's not because I'm following you around trying to hound you or anything. You used to play a few games with me before you moved on but lately you only play one game and then remove. I know I'm bad and a waste of time probably but I wish you'd play me more.
I really don't mind that part of it that much, and I know there are people like you who want to improve I can tell you do, but there are a lot of people who will just play so they can flip out if they win and talk shit.
morning_foxMa3laaIt's a public server. Usually when I a good player I'll join the arena because it's good practice, not because I want to hound them / be a fanboy. If you told me or whoever to leave politely I'm pretty sure they would. You could eliminate the need of an alt period by just making a bind "say hey I'm waiting to play a friend if you don't mind". Most people would just leave the arena.morning_foxYou're playing tf2 it's not like you're a celebrity. Don't see the need for an alt.

While what you say is true, that's not the whole of it. Ruwin said something on his stream sometime when he was on his alt dezolate that he played on for a little while (to which people were fine with) and he said something along the lines of "Why do celebrities wear disguises out in public, so they aren't harassed and hounded". Which is essentially the same thing, no matter what server I join people want to play me and desperately want to win because its either maela the mge lord!, or maela the 6s soldier! or often maela stars friend! Ill join reddit mge and half the time people start talking in voice like HOLY SHIT IS THAT MAELA??? THE STAR VIDEO GUY?? It gets really frustrating when you're just trying to relax and do something you like, which for me in tf2 is mge, so I play on a different account so I don't get bothered by people while I play, thats about it.

seems like a way to warm up without people thinking 'damn he must be shit' whenever you do sub par (if you're well known/invite)
yes
