Alright, gonna put the Lawena problems to rest.
Yes, it takes longer. I believe this is the price you pay for absolutely incredible quality.
It moves your cfg AND custom files into its own directory. If "Lawena deleted my custom files/cfg and I don't know where they went," then you didn't click stop tf2 in the actual Lawena window, which restores your custom files. I know, sometimes clicking the big red X at the top right seems like the best thing to do when you're done, but this doesn't allow the program to restore your files. If you run it again, and hit stop tf2 process, your custom files will return to how they were prior to being moved.
However, source recording tool is a really cool program, especially if you're on a deadline, and quality isn't as important.
If you don't want it to be of super high quality and you want a frag clip that resembles damneasy's or kaptain's, just use shadowplay/fraps. Nobody's going to judge you if you don't want super high graphics in your videos, It's all preference.
