#10 earbuds in Hardware
Dr_HeinzXiaomi pistons v2 look pretty good, I assume they're made for a phone, and I'm planning to use it with that. So I think I am alright.

they work with pretty much every smartphone that accepts the three-conductor pin in my experiences.

#3 steam broadcasting in Off Topic

okay so some of my initial reactions to it:

- this is REALLY easy to set up, literally almost sets itself up compared to other streaming solutions
- max bitrate is 3500 meaning you can get a pretty good looking stream
- max fps is 30 (boooo)
- chat is embedded in the game and you can choose where it shows up, cool!
- uses about same amount of cpu as obs, doesn't lag your game down too bad
- audio is sourced from entire computer rather than just the game, meaning you can listen to music and viewers will hear it
- you can stream non-steam games, meaning you can do stuff like add vlc and stream videos ROFL, i wonder how they're gonna police this (guessing reports)

(also remember if you're using a steam skin to turn it off or else you won't get the messages to approve requests)

#5 Internet disconnection in Hardware

i have this issue on cox cable sometimes. thought it was the router for a while, tried all the fixes belkin suggested but it still occasionally does it. rebooting router + modem sometimes brings it back but it seems to be an isp-based problem on my end.

#1 blizzcon in Other Games

so blizzcon is happening this weekend and blizzard has already dropped their new ip, overwatch. stream is viewable here.

anyone who's currently watching have any thoughts on this new fps they're creating? seems heavily tf2 inspired.

#10 Map summary before cast? in TF2 General Discussion
rowrowmthsadthis was actually a feature i was working on for our overlays, it was mostly completed outside of a few graphics that got kinda put aside after school started to pile work onto me. it would basically sum up a map's strengths, weaknesses, and a few notable facts along with a render of the map overhead (the graphics i was referring to).

i'll restart work on this.
Like a powerpoint showing snapshots of the map with notes? That'd be pretty cool, not to knock truktruk's wonderful zen looping camera shots of the map

i was actually planning on getting rid of smooths altogether in favor of some more custom sfm stuff (like the clips dashner makes since those are pretty awesome). but yeah, essentially.

#6 YouTube is going to support 60fps in videos soon. in Off Topic

it's rolled out now, chrome support only. will probably test it with the tftv cast from the other day (that I had to locally record because of the music).
