If you're going to get a mechanical I recommend clears or browns
It's not a popular opinion, but I totally agree that reds are a categorically worse switch than browns. The lack of tactile feedback means you have no real way of knowing whether you've actuated it until you bottom out. If the tiny bit of tactility in browns somehow makes your gaming performance worse, you have bigger problems at hand than your keyboard.
I used reds for a long time (now I use topre), and you quickly learn where the key activates, so you won't have to bottom out. Topre is a tactile switch just like browns, and I've got to say I like reds just as much or more for gaming. Pushing down and holding a key feels more natural and smooth without a tactile bump, imo. It's all personal preference though.

Can recommend something with PBT keycaps (like poker 2 for example). They're more durable, easier to clean, don't get glossy as easy, sounds better (imo) etc
I just downloaded the config and changed from chris maxfps, and when I join a server my whole screen goes white, except for the ammo, health and stuff like that. I can still move around and shoot, but I can't see anything... When I press escape to go to the menu I can see the game in the background without a problem. I tried without cl_threaded_bone_setup on, no difference. I tried without dxlevel, no difference. I really have no idea what it could be... pls help
edit: it also unbound my movement keys, oddly enough.
edit2: FIXED!
I'm using transparent viewmodels (http://www.teamfortress.tv/21928/transparent-viewmodels-in-any-hud) and I forgot that I need to edit my fps config in order to use those viewmodels. After figuring that out, I edited the config and now it works.

To be fair that spot is a lot better. You see much less of the hat and people actually hold right there. And of course it should be fixed, especially if it's an easy fix.

That's a video of it but basically in that spot I can escape plan taunt without taking any dmg myself because the explosion is above the ramp, meaning I can easily get 4ks or even more if the enemy team doesn't know about it.
edit: to clarify this is below the ramp on the left on last.

It's a shitty spot so I don't think anyone will use it anyways :p Mostly because they can see your head stick out of the ramp. I tried to get a kill that way in a scrim today but I just died myself and probably lost my team the round.
