I take your point, but for the chance is so small, even if you increase it by two orders of magnitude say, by going to a large gathering after a group of terrorists recently carried out an attack and were caught/killed, you are still only at 1/10th of the danger of dying in a car accident:

And every time you get in a car you increase your chance to contribute to that statistic.
People need to keep things in perspective even if the media is shoving one small danger down their throat 24/7
