They added some lower LODs for weapons in the update today, if you don't like it fiddle with your configs.

BLoodSire If at such a time, the comp community's dreams come true and MM is a success, the success will be in the MM version of structured TF2. Not our current 6v6 meta... If we are pulling for MM, and MM succeeds, then MM is the new meta, the new 6v6, the new comp.
I don't think people realize the cake they're trying to hold on to is the cake they're also trying to eat.
Even csgo MM varies from comp csgo re the bomb and round timers, MM won't replace comp, it's just a more accessible introduction to it.

Windows 8.1
fullscreen: 2639 frames 30.479 seconds 86.58 fps (11.55 ms/f) 6.867 fps variability
windowed noborder: 2639 frames 31.459 seconds 83.89 fps (11.92 ms/f) 9.769 fps variability
Windows 10
fullscreen: 2639 frames 29.314 seconds 90.03 fps (11.11 ms/f) 6.000 fps variability
windowed noborder: 2639 frames 30.489 seconds 86.56 fps (11.55 ms/f) 10.038 fps variability
Everything else is the same, running comanglia's config, midrange laptop (4510u & 840m), 1366x768 res, dxlevel 81. Looks like a 2-4% boost with windows 10.

Download InSSIDer (http://www.techspot.com/downloads/5936-inssider.html) and have a look to see if other wireless networks are interfering with your signal. I was having similar dropouts on wifi until recently (had to reset my router a lot) and when I checked I saw a lot of correlation between my lag spikes and spikes in the signal strength of other wifi networks. My solution was to just run an ethernet cable to my desk, which worked. If you can't do that yet then I suggest trying to move your wifi network to a less used frequency band to minimise interference, but that may not help matters much.

MightyI'm really hoping that this will get to be a thing, but I'm still concerned that this will basically become another tf2pug.me instead of what tf2center was. I think the idea is great, but more than anything it would be amazing if it could completely replace tf2center as the 'bridge' between competitive and pubs.
I think it needs to be 'advertised' at other places where less experienced players reside.... maybe even reddit.
If this is only 'advertised' on teamfortress.tv, this without a doubt will just become another place to get fatkidded by the good players.
