Some other IT friend of mine said it might be the CPU, and I don't recall running memtest86 with my other mobo, but I remember reading about it at the time so I may have done it. If I did I definately got errors. I don't have my old mobo anymore though so I'm unable to swap it out and try it.

Does this mean I should look into getting a new CPU? (Kinda want to upgrade to an i7 anyways)

I havent done that yet, but I have tried another set of the exact same ram brand new and I had the same problems

About a year ago I did a system restore to clean up my computer and whatnot. After I quickly found out via CSGO not installing due to a 'memory error' I had corrupt RAM or something. I'm not a computer tech kind of guy so I did my best to troubleshoot.

My Specs:
OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core 15-4690k @3.50GHz
MOBO: msi z97 gaming 5
GPU: GeForce GTX 760
RAM: Coirsair Vengeance 4gb x2
PSU: 600w termaltake
Hard Drive: Seagate 2tb
SSD: Crucial 240gb

So this issue is, whenever I have BOTH sticks of RAM in my mobo slots, I get memory issues. I ran the windows memory test and it says I have damaged memory. When I remove 1 stick of ram, only running 1 stick of 4gb I don't have any memory issues, and the test I run says my memory is fine. If I run both sticks of ram I get blue screens whenever I attempt to launch a game, and I cannot install new games or files (steam would say there is a memory issue).

I have tried:
Different RAM (Thought ram might be corrupt. Didn't change anything)
Different Motherboard (I thought it was my mobo that was corrupt. It didn't change anything)
Reinstalling windows, and wiping my system again
I have tried putting my sticks of RAM on all different mobo slots in all different combinations (24 different combos I think) and that didn't work

What I know I did wrong when I built my computer TWO years ago
I initially put the two sticks of ram side by side, rather than colour co-ordinated. (refer to this image to know what I mean: http://core0.staticworld.net/images/article/2015/08/ram-install-10-of-11-100600718-orig.jpg).

Any help is much appreciated.

After you enter your code you get to hand out 5 more beta codes to people. Actually use your codes and hand them out to other people, whether friends or random people on tftv. But isn't a blacklist where you ban everything except the items on the list itself? I get what you are saying but I don't think blacklist is the term you are looking for. Blacklist would be - okay everything is banned except gunboats, kritz, escape plan boston basher etc.. whereas a whitelist is everything is allowed except certain specific items.

I agree and I think that would work -- if they did do that. I've seen Taylor swift (who is now aliased as something else) on the number one with xrod (bullet) on top 10 for a long time now. And Taylor swift (or whoever their alias is currently) is a very blatant hacker.

Tl;dr It would work as a bandaid if they had people constantly doing hacker checks, rather than a vac wave every few weeks

Here are two more confirmed hackers. Currently "Yin" on the global top 100, and "Yang" who has not yet made the top 100. Xrod also queues with them and I don't have video evidence but he tends to use an auto det hack. Yin and Yang just changed their name and as of yesterday (august 4th) they were aliased as "Taylor Swift" and "Katy Perry sucks". I hope valve bans these idiots..

1) to change my dxlevel do I write "-dxlevel 98" (without quotations) in my launch options (only for the first launch) and edit it in my auto exec?

2) In options > video > advanced, should I be looking to see DirectX v9.8 in my Software DirectX level or my Hardware DirectX level? - Asking this because I see DirectX v9.0 on Sofware DirectX level but on hardware I see DirectX v 9.8
