Sure its bad if thats why they gave the default (which we dont have sufficient evidence to say conclusively) but like what can be done about this? Are they gonna punish players for giving a default loss rather than playing the game? Are teams not allowed to forfeit matches in ETF2L?
I feel bad for the unexpected guys but if you get to the stage where your playoff qualification depends on the result of other teams' games then you don't really have the right to complain about those factors outside your control - if you're good enough to be a playoff team it shouldn't be up to other teams at all (Lowpander also had a default loss against them despite not all of the roster agreeing on it and they qualified for playoffs all the same).
AF playing with 2 mercs and feeling offclassing when they afaik aren't continuing beyond this season vs a lego trying to qualify for playoffs - who do you think will win? Can you not understand AF not wanting to play this game when they have nothing to lose? Especially considering even if they did play they would probably lose 6-0 anyway because of mercs? If you were a player on a top team and you knew that there was a good chance of losing the next hour and a half of games and underperforming because of your main players being unavailable, wouldn't you consider giving a defwin if it doesn't affect your playoff spot? Or would you play expecting to lose and get tilted in the process?
I merced for them in a map of their warmup before the official and despite how demotivated everyone seemed they were still discussing whether or not to play, and this was days after the thaigrr clip in that vod. I'm not yet convinced that this is match fixing as the vod would suggest, after all, innocent until proven guilty.
edit: I should say, from what I've heard from Domo, they didn't make an attempt to reschedule before the game, so there might be substance to this, but this could also be because of other factors - again I don't think we can say anything conclusively.
first ow clip that actually blew me away, golden boy of gaming indeed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Hno4iQwHSM

There's one respect in which he is without a doubt the best player of all time and that is adjusting to ping (despite how much he complains about it).
Glad you bumped this, it provides the perfect opportunity to update this.
Firstly, thanks for the feedback, it helps pin down the changes I should be making and caters to what you (the viewer) feel you benefit most from. By the next weekend stream I'll hopefully have fixed all the issues - including the overheating.
Secondly, I'm going to be away for a couple of weeks so I'll be unable to do this weekend and next, but I will be back for a couple of days during the week (4th 5th maybe 6th) and in that time I'll be getting a new pc courtesy of zesty (2 man lan stream?), so a lot of the technical issues can be fixed.
Any other feedback/suggestions are very welcome!
No 7 or froyo.. but what if this whole time lowpander have been getting valve's attention by breaking the 'stale 6v6 meta'
Muuki on lan... I'd be scared too..
I guess it wasn't (damn)easy after all..
I feel like we might be remembering pre nerf stickies incorrectly.. yeah I agree that demo isn't great online and it felt better before, but have you guys watched demos of good demomen play pre nerf? Old stickies are STUPIDLY strong in comparison to current ones.
It's all theory and I find it unlikely that it would ever be changed back (demo feels balanced on lan to me) but with the way the current playerbase is very mechanics heavy, I feel like we would quickly see people get very mad at demo being overpowered to play against.
Old pipe splash radius is a change I could definitely get behind though.
Let's not be so quick to point the finger at ams and the antic guys either, from my experience they're nice and mean well, I'm guessing this is more of a misunderstanding or miscommunication than people are making it out to be.
Puo, if you read this, understand that no one on tftv is qualified to give you proper advice on this, and it's worth speaking to a professional about it. If you've had help from someone before, speak to them again and address the issue of spending a lot of your time playing a competitive team game and get some advice on how to proceed. It could be the case that a break is what you need, or perhaps under the circumstances this is good for you so long as you take care of yourself.
In any case, take tftv with a grain of salt when it comes to irl matters cos despite how nice people in this community can be, compassion is not an appropriate substitute for professional experience.
I'd have to see how it's actually implemented but I wouldn't be surprised if mantreads pocket became very viable. A soldier with 75% knockback resistance (now including airblast) with what looks like will be insane air control will become a very good Uber target. It will become so much easier to do what you want with an uber which also mitigates the added damage from not running gunboats.
And then consider there are a lot of teams that know how to play around a banner soldier in transitional play already (no active secondary with full damage rjs), I feel like it won't be hard to adapt to this if the air control is good enough.
