Do you mean the panels such as the loot winnings and such? You could do what I did and recreate them in hudlayout.res, and then use what you've changed into the normal file.

It's probably got more to do with the sourcescheme than it does the mainmenuoverride, because the console isn't controlled by that.
Dunno, that's just how it's always been for me. I'm not aware that you can stop it from doing that.
LiquidFireI'm currently using notohud and I installed a custom background for the main menu instead of the grey one that comes with the up. But when I open the console it makes the background darker.
This doesn't happen with the standard TF2 hud. Anyone know what I have to change in the hud files to get rid of it?
I've actually sat here for a while trying to figure out exactly what "sign" and "design" he's talking about.
Just an update I need to push out elsewhere, rather than just on the huds.tf blog. I just finished removing all the outdated HUDs from the main page of the site. If your HUD was once on the site and you update it eventually, just contact me through the contact form on the site.

Just found out that tf_healthicon_height_offset is a command.
tf_healthicon_height_offset -30 is a nice example, the number doesn't leave the screen and sits basically on the teammate if you're right next to them.

It's not perfect but it's better. At least you can see teammates health from up close, rather than it just leaving the screen entirely. I sent Valve an email with my complaint mostly being the lack of visual on health when next to a player, and the constant %health% problem.
Mine has literally just disappeared. I thought the site had signed me out as it does sometimes, but nope. I got billed yesterday so maybe it's just a glitch.
