MikeyUKNightGoatDo any of these guys still play?
Had to sign up to say this!
No idea about CG but CiMH do not still play and never did play lol. Basically we got to i32 (Me - Mikey, KnifeEdge and Triprotic) and did not know what to play, just a LAN right? Well somehow we got roped into playing with another 3 random peeps and somehow we got to the final, I still am not sure how rofl. CiMH was literally made up on the day to simply enter this tourney and stood for "Cum in my hair", yes that was the level of our maturity back then.
None of us had played TF2 before and myself, Knifeh and Trip had only had very limited success and skill playing TFC in the lower leagues (UKTFCL etc!). Basically we were shit, CG were not really shit and they had fun wiping the goddam floor with us. Was simply a laugh and its crazy I just found out it was one of the first if not the first competative TF2 game hahaha. Oh dear!
We were all wasted too rofl, well our part of CiMH anyway :D
return of the king
Make sure cl_predict is set to 1
GrapeJuiceIIImxrthen why r u still wrong...one of my pastimes is literally watching aim and movement in demos.
this is some anti-vaxxer telling a doctor that vaccines dont work type of shit.
It's not true that player movements are recreated perfectly. Firstly, STV demos usually have a very low tickrate (16 by default), and any movement between ticks is interpolated. Secondly, the angles you see in STV and spec are always slightly off because the server only shows an approximation to save bandwidth/space. A POV demo on the other hand is much more accurate because it is the right tickrate and angles, which is why a POV demo is so much better when reviewing cheat evidence.
However, this video is someone speccing another player in-game, in which case only the angles are incorrect while the tickrate is 66, making it more reliable as evidence, but the video is still only 30 fps. It would have been better if OP recorded a POV demo speccing this guy cheating, because that would have produced more reliable evidence.
Can we go back in time then and have a poll on the speed buff before Valve implemented it? Thanks
Make iron bomber projectiles comically big to match their actual hitbox
Sprite
Do you have any to backup they aren't? I never said I could prove it (not a cheat dev surprisingly) I just said it was 100% within their capabilities to be able to bypass such tools, as that is the very premise of hacking.
Well the fact that it is a private tool whose function and purpose are unknown, it would be pretty hard to design something to circumvent this tool, wouldn't it?
SpritePoint still stands wether he's being banned from a league or not, There needs to be evidence beyond a reasonable doubt to convict someone. Failure to provide said evidence means there is not evidence beyond a reasonable doubt anymore.
I'm not asking for them to show me a step by step guide of how they use their "private tools" to find people (mostly because I'm in high disbelief that these tools aren't already public knowledge to hack devs/counterable by them, fucking take 1 look at the state of pubs and tell me they aren't capable already) I'm asking for transparency on what is actually suspicious without the "private tools" being shown cos I'm still yet to see anything that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that he is guilty.
Do you have any evidence to back up the insinuation that the tools are in fact not private and widely known among cheat developers?
mastercomsYeah I'd still use null movement, it was just a neat fact I thought I'd bring up in conversation. The amount of input delay it adds is so small compared to the benefits and the possible increase in responsiveness due to brain/finger delay for releasing keys :)
Do you have any evidence to back this statement up?
ZestyU wouldnt expect this thread to be so heated from the title
the fact that there are people out there calling a triple a "double sync" is very upsetting to me
The decision to not have a fall season is to me puzzling and I am not really buying the reasons that were given in the post.
First of all, experimental cups are not a proper replacement for a full season, for various reasons. One reason is that experimental cups are supposed to test new things, not be the main way of playing the game, which it would be in the absence of a proper season. A second reason is that winning an experimental cup is far less rewarding than winning a season. Furthermore, these cups have historically been held without impacting the schedule of the main season, so I don't really understand what conditions have changed in order to necessitate experimental cups as a replacement of a season.
Secondly, the reason given to align the seasons with Copenhagen Games is strange to me as well, given that this event most likely will not even happen due to the fact that we are currently in a pandemic. Even if the event does happen, I don't see how aligning the seasons with the event provides such a benefit that it is worth skipping an entire season for.
Consider the risk of not having a fall season. The risk of players quitting is fairly high in the absence of a season, and it would be naïve to think that this decision has no impact on the player base. As such, ETF2L is taking big risks with small potential rewards. We need the player base to be as strong as possible in order to be able to arrange LANs in the future. We have the luxury of being the only region that is able to have two big LANs annually. If the player base – and consequently LAN attendance – dwindles, then this privilege will definitely be under question. The risk simply outweighs the reward greatly in this case.
