flameChanged collision on large railings to allow projectiles
Jk it's map specific not in general whoops
I would be so happy if they updated badlands just for that fix

This map needs an optimisation pass. There are big framedrops on second and mid. Especially in choke, where almost the entire map is drawn at once (probably the worst place to have fps drops too in-game). See for yourself with r_lockpvs 1.
The only thing Valve did wrong was to word it as an indefinite ban when it was a permanent ban. Giving the players the rightful punishment for their actions was a perfectly fine response, but leaving them in the uncertainty that they might some day get unbanned is very cruel if you don't actually plan to unban them any time in the near future. Especially since these people base their lives around this game, that they may or may not be able to play again at a professional level.
DustinSOnd_kajaHitbox =/= bounding box
Seems to be a bug with the needlegun that it reacts to the bounding box rather than the hitbox.
The bounding box is used for all projectiles as far as I know; try it out for yourself with the command. Let me know if you get different results with different weapons - I used the needle gun as it does a small amount of damage compared to a lot of other projectile weapons, and makes for a very clear way to demonstrate the boundaries of the hitbox.
Yeah, it seems to work like this for all projectiles except sticky launcher. I guess it's like this because of performance issues - theoretically it's easier for the server to calculate collision and splash damage this way. Practically, it's not a huge issue, it makes directs slightly easier to do, but the most empty bounding box space is at head level, and obviously it makes no sense to aim at headshot level unless you want to deny someone from surfing your rocket. Although it would be nice for more accurate hitboxes.

Everybody tilts sometimes but managing tilt is a very good skill. The most important thing to think about is to not bring a negative mumble athmosphere while tilting. If you are mad about something, realise that thinking about it will only make it worse as it will send you into a negative thought loop. Take deep breaths for a few seconds and calm your heart rate a bit. Realise what has happened has happened, and being salty about it won't change that. Don't talk about it in mumble, keep your comms focused on the game.
I have some rage problems myself and I have to work actively on minimising the amount of rage so I can focus on the game and not tilt my teammates. My best results so far comes when I actively try to have no reaction when I die or fail to do something, or a bug happens or whatever. If I must rage, I know I have to keep it to myself and start to focus again in a few seconds.
No news site will put cooking recipes on the front page on par with breaking news. Cooking recipes are low value content which generate less traffic than breaking news.
Se7enI feel like the biggest incentive for TFTV to promote highlander would be the fact that Highlander is easier than 6's to get into, thus augmenting the population of the competitive scene as a whole. Because of highlander's easy entry and easier gamemode, a ton of really good 6's players have started in highlander. If highlander gets more players, 6's inevitably will too because quite a few highlander players, once they get good enough, make the shift into 6's and often they do very well. I don't think the incentive is the goal of not marginalizing a big chunk of the competitive player base because it hurts feelings, but rather promoting a more easy, beginner friendly gamemode which often opens the doors to 6's.
When matchmaking gets released the barrier of entry will be considerably lower than it is currently.
Highlander content doesn't have much value outside of the TF2 community, whereas the 6v6 format is more integrated with the rest of the eSports scene, and has a bigger presence with outside sponsors. The level of interest is undeniably higher with 6v6, if you look at the actual figures (prizepools, viewership, LAN participation, etc.). It makes sense for TFTV to focus on producing high-value content, rather than trying to please everyone. This is especially true now that 6v6 has the potential to become bigger than ever, at least in Europe.
MuukiOnd_kajaHighlander in EU is a fucking joke, the top teams are not as good as they used to be. In fact, pretty much nobody in Europe plays highlander properly anymore, I cringe every time I watch a highlander casts because the uber games in Europe is fucking dreadful and nobody plays properly at all. If you genuinely think teams like The Experiment deserves top level coverage, then you've clearly misunderstood the concept of competition. The HL nations cup had several teams who were better than the top of HLS9, mostly because the national teams fielded way better players than the current top of HLS9.but you're not playing anymore so how can the uber game be any worse?
you started playing medic FailFish

In your article:
With some of these scenarios, it is unlikely that drones pose a unique threat, at least not any more so than an attacker on the ground. Even if one were able to acquire lightweight explosives or chemical agents to attach to a drone, the physical size of commercially available drones creates limitations on the attacker’s ability to inflict harm. A DJI Phantom, for example, has a payload capacity of around 1.8 lbs. Off-the-shelf drones generally cannot fly for more than 20 to 30 minutes, and they have a limited range, so an attacker would need to be close to the target. Heavier payloads also diminish range and flight times. Of greater consequence is the potential that an attacker would use a drone to inflict psychological harm—to produce terror—or to conduct assassinations. Even in these scenarios, however, the natural operational limitations on covert activity of this kind of sophistication and complexity would likely doom any plans to use drones for lethal effect.
In his statement to Congress on March 18, Dr. Greg McNeal cautioned against overstating the risks posed by drones and encouraged federal agencies to undertake comprehensive risk assessments before embarking on developing countermeasures. “Congress should ensure that agencies are as concerned with the probability of harm as they are of the possibility of a worst-case scenario,” McNeal explained.
In other words, you can probably achieve a greater effect with a far more simplistic plan.
zigzterCan't you just put "unbind mouse2" in your medic config?
(And then either a "bind mouse2 +attack2" in all your other class configs or a "reset config" that the other class configs point to.)
I'd strongly advise not to unbind mouse2 on medic
KhanSentinelSomething like
bind 3 "+melee"
alias +melee "slot3; unbind MOUSE2"
bind 2 "+secondary"
alias +secondary "slot2; bind MOUSE2 +attack2"
bind 1 "+primary"
alias +primary "slot1; bind MOUSE2 +attack2
Having bind-commands within quotes is generally a bad idea (dont know why exactly, but apparently it might cause some problems). Something like this should work better:I'm on mobile too, but I think that should workbind mouse2 "clicktoggle" bind 1 "slot1, alias clicktoggle clickon" bind 2 "slot2, alias clicktoggle clickon" bind 3 "slot3, alias clicktoggle clickoff" alias clicktoggle "+attack2" alias clickon "+attack2" alias clickoff ""
the syntax is wrong so this script won't work. Also since -attack2 wasn't called you'll be stuck with +attack2 if you click mouse2 once.
I think this script should work but I haven't tested it.
Put this in medic.cfg
bind mouse2 +clicktoggle
bind 1 "slot1; alias +clicktoggle +attack2; alias -clicktoggle -attack2"
bind 2 "slot2; alias +clicktoggle +attack2; alias -clicktoggle -attack2"
bind 3 "slot3; alias +clicktoggle"
All other class cfgs
bind mouse2 +attack2
bind 1 slot1
bind 2 slot2
bind 3 slot3
But really, I think you shouldn't need a script like this. Being able to switch to medigun and pop uber ASAP is really useful in stressful situations when you need to clutch as a medic. If you have the habit of accidentally misclicking there are three things you could do:
1. Get a mouse with more resistant triggers.
2. Change your mouse grip.
3. Condition yourself to stop misclicking mouse buttons by binding the buttons you usually mispress to kill, and play pubs for a few hours. Dying is a very negative stimuli so you'll train your muscle memory to avoid misclicking.
