Other comments:
ive played like 200ish centers and i can at least say that they are better than the 700ish lobbies i played
i rarely ever see people being legitimately mean to others for doing poorly or whatever in mumble voice chat. like im not gonna say that what alot of you are saying didn't or doesnt happen, cause it definitely can but I don't think that center is this toxic cesspool of ugc silver players. alot of the time the mumbles don't even have people in them and i have probably played less than 10 where both teams had all 6/9 in each channel.
team stacking might be a problem especially in HL payload. maybe its just the nature of the game mode but I have never played a payload lobby that wasnt a complete roll. also i think stacking is more of a problem in HL lobbies than it is in 6s due to hl being the more general place for entry level players plus the fact that because there are so many more people there at once it is alot less organized and even 2-3 higher level players on demo/sniper/soldier/scout will just completely destroy the other team. 6s I feel the stacking is not so much an issue unless of course 4-6 people are intentionally stacking which in that case not much you can do especially if they are hosting it
tl;dr center is alot better than people think it to be (for what it is) and its definitely better than what lobby was 1-2 years ago
close game
well now cevo has its foot in the door in terms of things like season structure, having a prize pot, having enough teams to play a decent season with, etc
idk we played cevo this season and haven't had a problem getting scrims since there were plenty of cevo teams to scrim against.
that however hasn't been my concern, my concern is that unless esea goes back to the 4 div system cevo won't be at the same level of competition per div. CEVO main next season is basically going to be the equivalent of esea mid IM - high open while the professional div will have an even greater polarity of Invite and Main-IM teams mixed in especially since 3 of the cevo open teams move to professional.
maybe the community can survive with two leagues, if maybe esea and cevo recognize teams from the other league and allow them to transfer into an appropriate div instead of being force to play open
sorry for rambling
rip in piece guys
im sorry

What will happen if more than 16 teams meet the requirement to be moved to main? Or a team that should be in main but doesn't ready up in time and is then playing against actual open level teams?
Hypothetically of course.
QuindaliDrPloxoIt is a good thing. But volunteers rarely stick around.
This isn't an untrue statement, but at the same time most of the work is needed at the beginning. I don't plan on doing anywhere near as much next season, esp since it'll be summer and I'll be working/travelling/not inside on a comp, but it's important that we lay a good foundation this season. If we can start off with a good number of teams and make these players happy and enjoy the league, then they'll stick around next season and even more will come. Start off strong, and it only gets easier as you go on.
On that note, as of right now:
-46 teams readied up
-2 teams with 6 paid, missing STEAM IDs (TEAMS PLEASE ADD YOUR STEAM IDs!)
-8 teams with 5 paid players
-10 teams with a minimum 1 paid player
Reminder: Schedules for Week 1 will be released on Thursday, February 20.
If your team is set to ready, don't forget to vote on the item whitelist poll.
I saw somewhere that the number of teams projected to be in main would be 16. Obviously certain teams in open that are readied up belong in a higher div so how many will you pull from the readied pool and how many will be added later? I'm just curious as to how many teams will be left in open
There are plenty of names that are really good for casting/higher level that aren't edgy or overly silly, like Lonely Hearts or the Meat Market.
