Most of this list has been completely blown to shit. It will probably get even messier after tonight.

I thought I already finished my annual yomps experience. Do I get another one now?
TurinThe most that would come of it is the coach getting fined 25k and that's really not going to happen.
The next day Kraft would have a $25k bonus check in the coach's mailbox.
Champagne and Cocaine should probably get a mention. They're likely going to finish in the 5-8 range.
Good writeup, London.
He's the victim of a few fucked up things that were outside of his control. This was not his fault - he deserves an IM team.
I turned the shite off at 19-7 with 4 mins to play. The Packers couldn't hold a lead that even the Redskins would have. That felt too scripted for my taste.
BroKingLets get some rivalries going here.
2:00 PM - jodd: cafe monster are bad
Most good rivalries aren't forced, though.
Normally, it's because someone says something really stupid to a third party and then that kicks off some beef. It's either that or some witty attack on an unrelated thread.
This was an atrocious first half for an NFC championship game.
Mr_OwlradiumMr_OwlPlayoffs should probably be 4 teams when you look at the size of the div, but 8 would be a lot more fun to watch as some of the mid IM teams could definitely pull an upset on the right day. I still think it's cafe vs meat market in the finals, but the lead-up to that should be a lot of fun to watch
The #7 seed recently won IM, if I'm not mistaken. It would be bad for the health of IM to have only 4 playoff teams.
I agree, and i'm pulling for there to be 8 teams, but it'll likely be more than half the division. There will be some 9-7 or even 8-8 teams in that range. To be rewarded for a mediocre season with a playoff berth isn't cool either.
it's a lot harder to win 9 games in IM than it is to in Open. A 9-7 IM team might not be far behind the top four by the end of the season.
An 8 team field keeps everyone interested in the 2nd half of the season. If the field is cut to four, then 8/16 teams have ZERO to play for by week five.
Has ESEA made a ruling on this matter yet? If not, why?

Both of the matches tonight look to be somewhat close on paper.
As for next week I think there are several matches that may be worth tracking as far as playoff positioning is concerned:
Sparkle vs. Small and Soft: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=4024474
Mad Lux Blue vs. Small and Soft: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=4032572
Sparkle vs. Mad Lux Gold: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=4032571
Meat Market vs. Pizzagon: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=4032569
I'm curious to know a few things heading into Week 2:
1. How good are Pizzagon? Will they quickly discover a second and third offensive threat so they can rise up and elevate the themselves into the IM playoff discussion?
2. Who's the #4 seed at the end of the year?
3. Will Blew adjust to pocket in time to make a playoff run?
4. What effect will ninjax have on C&C, as well as the rest of the IM bubble?
5. Can Pinoy Boys save their season and rally from an 0-2 hole?
6. Are Mad Lux Blue a sleeper team?
The division isn't that "big", so every game has a pretty big influence on the playoff race. It should all be fun to watch down the stretch. I'm hoping there are 8 playoff teams - can we have that confirmed?
This is a good advert for S18 IM. It's a shame I'll be missing it.
I can't help but think that this might be the match of the day in IM: http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=3996271
You guys should run a cast of this if it's not too late. I think it could go to 5-3 or 5-4.

upset :O
Let's tap the brakes on this for a moment.
Sparkle bunnies are an IM playoff team. They have talent across the board, and are one of the more experienced units in the division.
My team is simply learning how to play tf2 properly, and we have a long way to go. We just came in really focused and prepared against a superior team that is still settling in. My boys are the most honest and hardworking teammates that I've ever played with, and I'll continue to turn over walls for them and allow them to grow. It's the least I can do. We're not a great team, but maybe one day we'll get there - and I would love to stick on to see it happen.
It was a fun upset, but that's really about it. This game likely goes 5-2 to bunnies if it happens in week 6. Watch how they gel in the coming weeks - that team is going to be dangerous and won't play like they did against us again.
We're more lucky than we are good.
