Are you sure? It worked fine for me all yesterday.
Make sure you completely uninstall the regular version before you install the minmode one. It shouldn't make a difference, but just to lower the chance of random bugs/errors happening.

HOW TO INSTALL MINMODE
Until Tree updates his installer (which hopefully shouldn't be too long), the only way to install the minmode version of the hud is manually.
To do this, just copy all of the folders inside of the "minmode" folder, and paste them into your tf folder. It's essentially the same as installing the hud normally, the only extra step is making sure that the files you copy over are the ones in the "minmode" folder and not the root directory.
Remember that if you're a 4x3 user to copy those files in the "4_by_3_ratio" folder and paste them into your tf/resource/ui folder!
EDIT: The installer now works. You're still welcome to install it manually, but the installer may be faster.
____
Also, if you previously were using the normal version and were wondering whether or not minmode sacrifices your ability to toggle the scoreboard, the answer is no. I personally enjoy the scoreboard toggle, so I wanted to make it available regardless of what version of the hud you use. The only downside to this is that I was forced to make essentially two different huds; but I don't think it was that big of a deal.
Again, if you have any questions/complaints/comments, you're free to yell at me. Thanks again for checking out my hud. :3
EDIT: The installer should be good to go. Here's a quote from Tree (featuring the download link).
TreeRayshud installer updated to have a checkbox if you want rays sweet new minmode version of the hud. I did very little testing, it will probably destroy the whole planet.

Thanks for the great first match guys, it was a lot of fun. :>
HQsyes it does, might be an issue with the installer then, when i tried using it it installed the hud but none of it was aligned properly or something, was weird. sorry for that.
I think a valve update reset the ClientScheme.res file, which defines all the fonts. That's why it was so broken. Glad it didn't require any serious updates, though!
fosterrays where are the classy team selection and class selection menus. I require more classiness.
You mean the ones I said I was going to make on stream, or the ones already in place? The ones in place are like "Teammenu.res" and "ClassSelection.res".
Version 2.93 is out.
It includes:
-A revamped Medic UI, (including new pulsing Uber colors, can be disabled).
-Redid freeze-panel screen.
-Fixes to the item inspect panels and freeze-panels to prevent them from going off of the right of the screen.
-Flipping of primary and secondary Target IDs, to make it easier for medics to see who they're healing.
-Various bug/positioning fixes.
It can be downloaded here:
https://github.com/downloads/raysfire/rayshud/rayshudv293.zip
Or via the updater released by Tree:

Screenshots of the new Medic UI:
Charge bar outline, rearranging of Target IDs.
Pulsing Uber bar.
Regular Uber bar.
As always, the previous uber bars I've used are still in the HUD, you just have to activate them in "HudAnimations_tf.txt" file in your tf/scripts folder. Search for "HudMedicCharge", and uncomment the lines in front of the type of uber flash you'd like, and comment the ones you wouldn't. Remember to do this for both the charge label as well as the bar itself!

New freeze-panel window:
No longer runs off of the screen, enemy team color displayed below name.
Minmode version on the way!
walfafoxHi guys, uhm, someone know about any HUD working with the new Update? The Basic HUD is kind of ugly with Max Frames CFG.
Thanks.
- Edge
The only thing Valve changed in the new update was a minor fix that overwrote the current ammo, MvM wave status, and a few item effect meters file that were in place for whatever custom HUD you may have had. Since the adjustment was just a placement fix for those items in the default HUD, reinstalling your custom one should fix all problems.
Yeah, sorry, I believe that there's something up with the hud installer right now.
If you'd like to change the color yourself, open up "hudlayout.res" in your tf/scripts folder, find the name of the crosshair you want to enable, and change it's visible/enabled values from "0" to "1", and it's fgcolor to "255 255 0 255" for the color yellow.
I'd be interested in some help. I'm going into my first season of IM, and have been a scout main since I've started.
I'm sure you're going to get a lot of requests, but if the opportunity presents itself I'd like some help. If your friends list ever has a few open slots, let me know. :>
TechniikRays, my HUD, pls.
A quick reinstall should fix it. I posted this in my steam group an hour or so ago, so you can read it for more details:
Just reinstall the most current version of my hud, and it should fix it.
If you happen to have edited my hud to your own liking and don't want to reinstall the whole hud and have to edit again, the only file Valve deleted was "HudWeaponAmmo", so just reinstalling that specific file should preserve any other changes.
___
In valve's most recent update, they did something that messed with the ammo positioning for the default hud. Thus when you downloaded the update, the game took the custom ammo file I made and replaced it with it's default. They didn't change anything else major though, so that means by simply reinstalling the hud, the file is replaced and it should be working again.
If you ever have this issue again with any updates, try to reinstall the hud first before contacting me for help. If it's still messed up, I can help from there.
If you're not already in the Steam group, you should join it for up-to-date updates:
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/rayshud
Thanks again for using it! :3
The file that controls all of that is "HudAmmoWeapons".
When your TF2 updated, they made some minor adjustments to the default hud's ammo positioning, meaning they modified that file. By taking the "HudAmmoWeapons.res" (assuming you backed it up) in your edited Broesel and putting it back in your resource/ui, everything should be fixed.
crespiCrap, I just edited everything I wanted from 2.2 and now I have to either do it all over again or figure out which files were changed. Wish you used github :(
Based on what he changed, he probably modified:
-HudTournamentSetup.res (Tournament setup panel)
-TextWindow.res (Custom MOTD)
-MapInfoMenu.res (Custom map info)
-HudObjectiveStatus.res (Removed slidw-down animation on "time added")
-hudlayout.res (Possible adjustments to HudTournamentSetup, removing of crosshair)
-HudItemEffectMeter (There's a lot of these, but they're what control weapon meters.)
Granted, this is just a guess, but it's what I'd assume.
EDIT: Never mind, ninja'd. Sorry for the unnecessary post.
Sorry it took so long! D:
Version 2.92 is out.
It contains:
-Arena mode support.
-Fighter pilot crosshairs for all three aspect ratios. (4x3, 16x9, and 16x10)
-Removed background on notification messages. (Intel dropped/picked up, etc.)
-Various MvM fixes.
-A fix that prevents kills/deaths getting cut off when you're at 200+ kills.
-Added in metal gained/lost animation.
-Added in support for intro videos.
You can get it here:
https://github.com/downloads/raysfire/rayshud/rayshudv292.zip
Or via the updater released by Tree:
poopfistHey Rays, so I just wanted to try out some of the custom crosshairs associated with your HUD, and when enabled, the circle is off center by a couple pixels (and when I modify xpos and ypos I can't get it perfectly center, and the figher pilot shit is like 200px off to the right. Sorry if this has been addressed already, but I couldn't seem to figure out how to get them centered on 1024x768.
I can take a screenshot if need be.
Thanks.
If you can't get it perfectly centered by adjusting xpos/ypos, try adjusting the width/height values for smaller changes.
As far as the fighter pilot crosshair goes, it only works on 16:9 resolutions. I'm sorry about this, I wasn't aware that it was made only for this resolution when I added it in. Fortunately, I have the proper code to add in support for the crosshair on 4:3 and 16:10 resolutions, so you can look for that in my next update.
<3.
Thanks guys. :D
I plan on fixing a few more things and getting it ready for another update soon.
Once I finish a few more arena elements, you can expect a minmode version to come out eventually.
