Sorry for bumping, does anyone have an up-to-date version of their MM POV demo for hud editing? Rays demo not working at the moment with the current version of TF2.
I would say e.v.e's hud is probably the closest that you are looking for!
puoi1to solve the white text on the target ids you need to make another targetidnamelabel and make the orignal one alpha to 0
That is too messy for a fix, all you have to do is to change "visible" and "enable" to "0" on both "TargetNameLabel" and "TargetDataLabel" in order to fix it.
Something I did back in the day while I was fiddling with main menu .vtf files. Customisable through clientscheme...
Diabalotia"KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got EOF instead of keyname in file scripts/HudLayout.res
Resource/HudLayout.res, (*TransparentViewmodelMask*), (*scaleImage*), (*if_vr*), " wut? ;-;
You got an End of File (EOF) error meaning you are missing end key } along "TransparentViewmodelMask". Make sure you copy pasted correctly.

chrome pls
Change the extension from .crdownload to .zip. For some reason it does that a lot in other files that I've downloaded lately...
I'm currently dealing with some closecaption updates. I've manage to update/compile closecaption_english.txt into closecaption_english.dat format; and placed them into custom/[hud_files]/resource but it doesn't want to work. If I place them into custom/[completely separate folder]/resource, then it works. It will probably work if I convert it into .vpk format. Do I need the March 2015 captioncompiler.exe where such issue was fixed and got broken at later on (Latest update on this file was in 16th July)?
Hope you guys understood what I just said and can help me!
TroopoI think it looks pretty damn good. Is this your own hud Rawrsor? If so I'de like to see pics of the rest.
He is still progressing on this

old: http://i.imgur.com/YTzmWnN.jpg
I think the new one is better because the old one was more cluster-looking.
I told you guys that if you request I can upload the new notohud style borders
(Big credits and thanks to omni for this). Since its surfaced I have no issue uploading...
It looks bright but hey it works, and no itempanel transparency issue.

rewolf ...
"border_default" "NoBorder"
"border_armed" "NoBorder"
...
Those 2 needs to be changed, meaning you want the cornered borders. If you know which border that correct button uses, change it and it should work!
rewolfInteresting. Changing my vtf files causes it to go complete black background (when on main menu; loads fine).
Slayer6For some vtf's it doesn't let me to tick the eight bit alpha (format specific) which in some others it's already ticked! Any idea?
8-bit alpha is used for transparency of the material. In this case @rewolf you don't have the correct colour (mostly black/white) for your alpha channel and @Slayer6 you don't even have the alpha channel. Since these are main menu background I guess you don't really much need the 8-bit alpha channel ticked.
rewolfFor some huds the custom backgroud is high quality when loading at the start but degrades in quality when at main menu, while others like 7hud manages to retain the quality in main menu. What causes this?
Funny thing I asked the same thing to myself yesterday. Found a solution but you need a program called VTFEdit.
Find and open your custom background .vtf file using VTFEdit and make sure you have settings ticked just like the example screenshot below. Save and close it, then it should work!

The background quality changes with respect to your screen resolution/quality of material etc. What this method does it to force the high quality background despite which video settings you use by clamping!
omniEricEDIT: thanks for the -frags guys, hope you enjoy your greentext scoreboardsRofl Eric
Just change the name of the panel/fieldname of the stat value if you want to fix it boys.
Can confirm that it works!
