#2 stringme.io - retrieve server connect string in Projects

cool stuff, but wont tf2center freak out if it detects a player in the server before a lobby starts?

#3 resolutions in linux in Q/A Help
JarateKingAny reason not to go with windowed borderless and adjust the resolution through launch options? On many distros there isn't a desktop compositor, so there's no lag / input latency issues with it vs fullscreen.

Sounds good, what desktop environments do you recommend? I'm using Ubuntu MATE, does the MATE environment have desktop compositing? i can just install a different desktop environment than MATE anyway

#28 Let's talk Faceit in TF2 General Discussion
syphsageI would like the time for the start of the match and the connect info to be shorter
it takes about 3 minutes to connect to a TF2 server even with the shittiest of laptops
also reduce time to ban each map from 30 seconds to 15 or so, most leaders either ban the maps they dislike quickly or dont ban any map at all
Yes on the map ban thing but my crappy laptop takes 3:30 and i'm sure it can get worse for other people.

how can it possibly take you that long
i have a celeron N3050 laptop and the longer it took me was 3 minutes as long as i leave tf2 open in the background beforehand (takes like a minute just to bring up main menu)

#1 Dead time in TF2 General Discussion

What are your thoughts on dead time? when the point difference is bigger than the amount of minutes left in the timer and you KNOW the match is already over.
Its kinda pointless, i was thinking it would be good to have a plugin to "skip" it in pugging websites like faceit.
Some kind of script in the 6v6 config that "checks" the difference in points between the two teams everytime a team scores, and if its larger than the amount of minutes left in the match, it ends the match right there.

For example, if theres 3 minutes left and one team scores 3-0 the match would end.

Would you be in favor of such measure?
How many minutes would it be wise to have per point ?

#18 Let's talk Faceit in TF2 General Discussion

would it be possible to improve the classlimit system so people cant do tricks to have 2 demos or 3 scouts ?
also dont enforce cl_cmdrate 66, people with bad connections might want something lower

#5 Mexican or Central American Leagues. in Q/A Help
ChessysageUGC
ESEA if you have good ping in USA servers
LBTF if you have good ping in Southamerica servers
Problem is that FBTF is a brazillian league and I don't know jackshit of what they're talking about.
UGC is good but I have problems with the interface most of the time.

theres loads of south american teams, not just from brazil, its more of a general south american league AFAIK
just search for a spanish speaking team
and if you think UGC website is bad consider yourself lucky you dont have to use AsiaFortress
