Things to keep in mind if you're thinking they will only select super popular names: most tournaments/events/orgs won't allow their players to enter or participate in anything adult-related. This isn't the case in TF2, where there are absolutely no sponsorship restrictions.
One of the things they mentioned looking for in the article is "noteworthy accomplishments, as well as creativity and originality in approach".
Realistically, if their starting point is $5000 they are not looking to sponsor Mango, they're just trying to get a better understanding of esports and get their name out there.
I saw this and thought that if there were any gamers in TF2 that could take advantage of this, why not try.

Good luck boys and girls-
A lot people in this thread had questions, just wanted to make sure everyone is aware that there will be an AMA this Saturday with WillScarlet and th3rat from Matcherino on TFTV, and they'll be announcing a ton of useful info as well as answering YOUR questions about this event, so please submit questions to them here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdlc3gt30kBHfR36kqzocz_xNo0Ptpr1oIcwBJu-LTdUV0gLg/viewform

Bump for new time reminder! And to remind you all to get your questions in (memes are also being accepted.)
Thanks to all who answered so far! Please share with your friends so we can get as much feedback as possible :)
Hi all,
Just wanted to get some feedback from those players/talent/volunteers/spectators... anyone really who physically attended Rewind II. It's a very short survey, thank you in advance!
twiikuuSome of you have expressed distaste in seeing certain/other games than TF2 at ToTH (and that's absolutely understandable), I'd like to ask you if you actually watch for what's happening in game or for attendees interacting with each other ?
i mean, the stream numbers will show that post event won't they?
if anyone has plans to attend the finals at sse we got some fm boys goin lets get a drink
regardless of anyone's personal opinion about the team, competitive integrity is something i've always been quite proud of in tf2. the best team always wins (unless they get food poisoning), so it's mind blowing to me that this would even happen, especially in a league so desperate for credibility.

Another question regarding this would be if you can rent/use provided peripherals.
Bringing along a mouse/headset is easier than a keyboard when you travel by plane etc.
as far as i am aware they are planning to have peripherals for rent, yes. i always stuck my keyboard in my suitcase for iseries, but it was heavy and a pain so i wouldn't travel with it again either.
