they're actually pretty good
here is another one
Lindsey,
Many enzymes exist in two states, an inactive and an active state.
Usually these states differ in the conformation, or three-dimensional shape,
of the enzyme. The balance between these two states provides a means for
regulating the activity of the enzyme, in effect, by turning it on or off.
Often the switch that controls which state the enzyme is in is provided
by a small molecule which binds to a receptor site somewhere on the surface
of the enzyme. Such a small molecule is called an allosteric effector. For
alpha-amylases from mammals, chloride ion is the allosteric effector. These
amylases have a binding site for chloride ion, which contains a positively
charged amino acid residue (lysine, which at physiological pH is in the
ammonium ion form). This positive charge assists binding of the negatively
charged chloride ion, and the size of the binding pocket excludes larger
negative ions.
Binding of chloride causes a conformational change to the amylase,
switching it to the more active state.
in my experience setting both to 1 gives the highest fps. you can experiment yourself with the benchmark demo http://www.teamfortress.tv/7598/tf2-benchmarks
edit: i should clarify that this was using comanglia's config previous to the recent changes
if youre mainly just commuting its not a bad idea to purchase a fixie. you'll save a lot on maintenance because theres only one gear. shifters and derailleurs are the most problematic and hard to fix parts on a bike. everything else is easy enough to make sense of yourself. also most fixie's come with a singlespeed so you can switch back and forth if you want.
crossbikes are good for offroad and road, but not rooty and rocky trails. its also hard to find an extremely cheap one of those.
but id ride the free mtn bike and if you get more into it, craigslist is your best friend. you just gotta keep looking, you'll be amazed what you can find.
degu can you post a dl link pls
sometimes when i get too high frames my game gets very choppy so i capped mine at 300 idk if thats the issue but maybe worth a try
im actually pretty hyped for this game i feel like they dont make shooters like this anymore
@Di4, put -full -w WIDTH -h HEIGHT in your tf2 launch options, with width and height being the res you want. -full will make it run fullscreen instead of windowed or borderless windowed.
so im using the hqcrosshair vtf pack and after installing comanglias config for high end pc's i've noticed that it made my crosshair very blurry. changing mat_picmip to 1 or higher fixes it, but I like the mat_picmip 2 look of everything. is there a command or something that's making it that way?

ohh okay i was wondering how that came back.. so does adding or removing the file remove the dust?
what does the surface properties file even do? does it just give things more texture
