i really hate it but you can make it less noticeable by playing without viewmodels and / or the beam
for example r_drawviewmodel 0 and viewmodel_fov 30 makes it less obvious
hope it gets fixed soon because sometimes im trying to flash someone and it will auto-break, causing them to die and thats just so frustrating
