To an extent, I'd argue it's unwise to go in the middle of a body of water, with an unskilled partner, no life-vest, AND a poor swimming ability.That's like... the entire point of the game though. To show happens when you make these mistakes out at sea. You drown and die a horrible death no matter how hard you try to fight it. So arguing about how the character is kind of stupid is really redundant because everyone that's played the game should have already noticed that.
I don't understand the flak I'm getting. I'm not trying to one-up the makers or say they did something wrong. I'm saying the mentality of the fictional character was wrong. He could have done things more efficiently to save himself, but didn't, and that's where I'm throwing my points at.
My (actual) apologies, carry on.
