1) If you think you're going to stay calm at the start, you think way too highly of yourself. In reality almost everyone will panic
2) Again, you're panicking. TBH, those shoes wouldn't even hurt your swimming that much, if at all.
3) He has no idea how sailboating works, as explained at the start. I have never been on a sailboat and other than trying to steer the wheel (which has been explained to me doesn't do much) I would not have been able to turn around either.
4) That is the whole point on the game; to explain how important floation devices are.
I don't understand why you would pull off your fingertip though. Anyone have a clue? Maybe part of the hallucinations.
1) It's about overcoming it. Maybe I think highly of myself, but I'm fairly comfortable in water, and would try and use those initial very important moments to convey what needs to be done for #3.
2) The shoes definitely would hurt your swimming. They're porous, and will take on a lot of weight. It will be hard to kick. Frankly, I'd probably undress completely if I'm at all in for a longer run with the aforementioned imbecile friend.
3) Seriously, he's dumb. Wind in sail = move forward. No sail = no wind. Turn into wind, unhook sail, success.
4) *Edit*, you're right, I didn't see the final message in the "movie download" version of it
I'm not hating on the whole thing. I'm hating with frustration that this person died so easily. The whole situation upset me, and it really has left me thinking about my plan of action.
Also, for what it's worth, the boom didn't hit him that hard, and his hand stops it from hitting his head. Swim up up up quickly, you see where the boat goes. His friend could have tossed him SOMETHING.
Eesh, I have work to do, and this is just upsetting me. If anyone wants to keep playing devil's advocate, I actually want you to. I'm fighting the idea of me drowning, is all. I'll say it again: this was very well executed, and has left an impact.
MAYBE?
