I'll be casting the BP v. FT game (if I get the STV info) :D
Edit: It isn't happening due to computer issues, so I guess it's a no-go.

I'll be casting the BP v. FT game (if I get the STV info) :D

Hey guys! My name is shredder, and I just recently jumped into the competitive scene. I absolutely love playing TF2, but I love shoutcasting even more. I usually try to cast one or two games from the newbie mixes every week, since that is my only exposure to organized comp (I don't count tf2lobby), but I'd like to cast more. Maybe one day I'll be as awesome as Slin or Sal!
My question to you is...
1) Is there a list, somewhere, of competitive games and their respective times and STVs?
2) If not, can I cast YOUR next game? You can message me on steam or on this thread with the time/league/etc., and I'll hop into the STV and see what I can make happen. (I'll even stream it so you can watch it back later!
Of course, perfect practice makes perfect. Although I may not be the best caster right now, I'm sure that with enough reps and practice, I can be an awesome shoutcaster.
Thank you for helping me get better! I appreciate it :)

P.S. I have no league limitations, but I haven't ever casted HL... ever. But I'd love to try!
The consensus seems to be streaming consistently. Does this mean daily? Weekly? At a set time?
What's up ladies and gentlemen? My name is shredder and I just recently got into the stream scene (damn! almost rhymed). Tonight I hit an all time high of... 12 viewers! As my stream (slowly) gains popularity, I'd like to ask you, the viewers, "What makes a stream interesting?" Clearly, there are a lot of streams in the 0-10 viewer range, and I'd like to make a name for myself.
So, what would make you watch a stream? Is it fun gimmicks (always wear fun hats/rap my competitive commentary)? Is it insane gameplay (I'll be honest, I'm not an invite- or even IM- level player, I think)? Or is it something else? Perhaps I'll do your random math problems while bombing Granary mid. Perhaps I'll do config walkthroughs, or jump map.
The driving question is... What can I do to distinguish myself? What can I do for you, the viewer, to make watching my stream more entertaining. Leave suggestions and comments, and I'll take the best ones into consideration.
Thank you,
shredder
I can play scout! Although you probably already have found someone. If not, I can play backup. Let me know if you're still interested :)
Sev, in case you haven't seen it yet, you should check out this reddit post.

I was going to link it to you last night, but I couldn't find it until this morning. Great work last night too! You were really enthusiastic and willing to learn and I think everyone appreciated it.
reillywe just end up running informal pugs
Hey reilly, here (http://www.twitch.tv/shredder43/b/354143402) is the game you wanted to record in HQ. You were an awesome coach!
For the guys who did late night mixing/pugging, I got it all on stream (the granary and process epic battles, specifically)

It is from my POV, so you might not see that epic medic airshot you had or the crazy 5K on mid, but it's still worth watching. I captured a lot of your great moments, especially if you were on my (shredder.P2L)'s team. It's 1080p at, 30 FPS (I think?), so quality is good. Quick shoutout to reilly and Walka for sticking with the newbie mix all night :)
MR_SLINAre you on a team?
Not yet! I'm still working my way to the top. However, I play lots of mixes and pugs (although that's no substitute for a real team)
MR_SLINDo you play in leagues?
Again, not yet. I hope to soon! As I said earlier, I just upgraded my computer, and transitioning from a Macbook's 30FPS on Chris' maxframes to 300 FPS with full graphics should do wonders for my gameplay.
Hi guys and gals,
I'm Shredder, and I just recently upgraded my computer to a point where I can play and stream TF2! (My earlier attempt on a Macbook Pro led to 240p at 4FPS :/). I can consistently stream throughout the week, and I usually play either pubs, lobbies, pugs, or sometimes jump maps (I'm not on a competitive team right now, but I (hopefully) will be soon! I'll play almost exclusively TF2, and only occasionally stream Quake Live and Diablo 3.
My stream is at: http://www.twitch.tv/shredder43
Brief Description: Just your average player, bringing fun and laughs to both casual and competitive TF2
I play roamer and scout, if that matters, but will frequently mix it up (I love me some spy) in pubs just for fun.
I'm from the USA.
BTW enigma you're my favorite scout in the world :D

disengageDo a little more searching next time, but go and make a thread here: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/category/22
Thank you so much! I tried searching for it on Google, but I didn't really know what the search terms should have been ("TFTV Stream List," "Listing on TFTV new stream," etc.) and I couldn't find it! Thanks for the fast reply :)
Hi guys! I just got into streaming (literally today) with a brand-new computer!! I tried streaming once on my old macbook pro, and I got 240p at... wait for it... 4 FPS. Needless to say, that's why I upgraded.
I'm having a lot of fun streaming my games and watching them back. I have only pubbed around tonight, but I'm planning on streaming some of my 6s games (not in a league, but jff) and watching them back to see how I get better.
All that talk was just context. My real question is, how can I get listed in the TFTV Live Stream list you see in the upper right? Although it's not mandatory, I'd love to get some exposure for my stream as I play more, and perhaps I'll even end up like some of the big-name streamers! :)
Do I have to register with someone? Check some hidden box? Please help me out, I'd love to get my gaming out there.
TL;DR: How to get my stream in the upper right live stream list
I'm so excited Mixes are back! These are by far the highlight of my week.
