MrPoT4tOThe sudden drops mean the stream went down?
Correct.
So I spent a ton of time looking into gaming laptops before I eventually just went back to using a desktop.
Not even joking, Alienware. Don't buy it directly from Dell, check brand new on ebay. There's some disgustingly good deals to be had.
Goat_Modular is not a smart idea either when it comes to efficiency.
Could you please expand on this. If you mean what I think you mean then that makes literally no sense.

I had a couple of cool videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruKt4oiWv1E&list=PLHwrIHXRjJ-IPPcCOQNT3wu2iVVFT7NqN&index=2
Hey, so just a quickie thing if you run a blog or anything like that.
http://skyride.org/skyride/tftvstreams-generic.zip
I was just reworking the version I made for ETF2L originally for VanillaTF2 to use TeamFortress.tv's stream list. I made a slightly different generic version that should integrate reasonably well with any site's theme. So if you have a blog, here you go! \o/

Only flaw I see with your logic is it paid more to win the ESEA LAN than the i-Series TF2 tournament. Now while yes it takes more effort to get into the ESEA LAN it probably breaks even or makes a small profit for a team that wins it, for a NA team trying to go to Europe there's no chance of finishing in the money (Spending six to ten thousand dollars for a LAN that pays $3300 USD to win).
In short, we're making good progress. But we've got a LONG way to go if we want TF2 to compete as a popular eSport.
You've got a good point here. What I would say though is that despite being higher, it's still not paying anyone's bills, and no one's making a salary. Like, ESEA pays a ton more, but it's not a life changing amount of money.
Also, speak to any of the invite guys who've been to i46 and/or i49 and they'll tell you its so much better in every other way.
Hey I just posted a tonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn of photos from the finals.

Not_MatlockNot have ESEA LAN finals right before.
Give them time to practice and warm up to the euro ruleset before they go similar to how Mix^ and LG did last year.
To achieve that, you'd either need to A) Convince ESEA to move their own LAN, or B) convince Multiplay to move their LAN that gets planned well over a year in advance.
It's just unfortunate really. There's nothing you can do about it.
I know you NA guys at home who'd never heard of it until the i46 fundraiser started don't realise, but i-series LAN is HUGE. It's bigger than any LAN in the US, it's actually comparable to Dreamhack in a lot of ways, and the TF2 tournament is a really tiny part of what goes on over the weekend.
This weekend they had some of the more minor Yogscast people here. Multiplay typically have an allocation of 20,000 spectator passes they can sell for a summer LAN. They actually had to extend that to 27,000 for kids wanting to visit Yogscast. The actual BYOC part of the LAN is over 2,000 people across a building larger than a lot of airports.
By dealing with i-series, you avoid an utterly immense and varied number of issues, and gain a lot.
Saltysally1we need a tf.tv lan venue, this is getting ridiculous.
Give me $50k and you'll have your LAN.
Oh, you don't have $50k? Neither does anyone else.
This. i46 peaked at 5500
The outage is due to a DDoS attack that started right after HRG got knocked out. There's no way to tellbwhere a ddos is coming from.
Yes i know its DDoS because i was just standing back stage in front of the server console looking at the traffic stats speaking to the head IT guy about it.
It's shitty but there is genuinely not a single anyone can do, and there's very little within reason that could have been done to prepare.
Agro is streaming it over a 3G from his phone. Check kritzkast stream. Its qual tho
KerchPlease tell me a full VOD will be available.
It will. Mpuk have a proper pro grade production setup and are locally recording.
CONFIRMING THAT DDOS IS COMING FROM THE USA IS JUST A RUMOUR
