can't really speak for anyone else but i'd donate again - the matches, hype, streams and documentary (whenever it gets released) were definitely worth it

if you're not having fun then don't spend your time doing it, because chances are you won't enjoy it when you're better either
changing your sensitivity a small amount every now and then shouldn't affect your progress too much but if you are changing the way your hand moves the mouse every 2 weeks then you aren't going to get anywhere
lamefxi think the next issue is that an AU/asia staff would be needed. Are there people there willing to do camera/casts, promote content, general organization?
yeah, that's pretty much why I posted those threads to see who would be interested.
Lil_NathanNot to put down immediate expansion into other scenes - but I think language barriers will be a bit of a tough spot to overcome. And that's as far as casters, and posting in the forums. Why would they want to join Tf.tv if they can't even communicate with the majority of the audience here? Maybe something like specific subforums for specific languages? Just tossing some possible objections out there. I'm all for a global tf.tv.
I'm not sure what language you think we speak in Australia, but it's English.
The Asiafortress site, games and casts are also all in English.
for anyone interested I've created a thread discussing this on the Aus community sites: http://ozfortress.com/showthread.php?t=57287 / http://atf2l.org/topic/307-australian-presence-on-teamfortresstv/
I think almost everyone can agree that expanding to cover the European scene and casting matches is a good thing!
I was wondering if there were similar plans for any other scenes?
For obvious, biased reasons I'd love to see Australian TF2 get more coverage, but there are also other notable scenes (such as Asiafortress) which have a lot of players and successful leagues and deserve more attention.
Does anyone know if there's anything in the works?
Saltysally1lawl, you fail to realize that most people here don't want to have a "hold down spacebar" jump button, half the fun of bhopping is the challenge...do me a favor and open up counter strike source and play a few bhop servers, it's not as easy as you make it out to be...
i don't think you read what he said at all
he's saying it's impossible to implement true bunnyhopping into tf2 because of engine limitations, and the only way you can even get bunnyhopping into tf2 is easy mode 'hold down space bar' bunnyhopping
tf2 doesn't need and shouldn't have bunnyhopping
mat_queue_mode 0 will stop the crashes when you skip to ticks
looks gr8 though!
because the orange box engine is fantastic, setting fps_max to ANY VALUE except 0 will result in some engine/input stuttering and in general just doesn't feel as smooth as if it was uncapped
the only downside to capping your framerate is that it will fuck with mouse accel (if you're using it) and it really messes up the physics if you host a local server
anyone who isn't using mouse accel should probably set fps_max 0
